    Got a simple question...

I assume you mean for the heatsink fan. There are also multiple types of 4-Pin power connections, but is most likely a Molex connector which you can plug in the same was as a hard drive, or the smaller one which there are four of on your mobo. SO.. did your heatsink come with a 3-Pin to 4-Pin...

    Half-Life 2: 64-Bit - Reason to get excited?

Good to know. I am curious if they BETA tested it.

    Half-Life 2: 64-Bit - Reason to get excited?

Aye, it seems many people are having the same issues. I have no idea why they would have to modify 32-Bit tho..

    Windows Xp 64Bit

Yeah. I don't exactly understand why even some simple programs won't work while others do.

    Half-Life 2: 64-Bit - Reason to get excited?

Finally, a 64-Bit version of Half-Life 2! Is there any reason to get excited about this, or is it something you just want to bypass? We take both versions through a few quick tests to see if the 64-Bit has what it takes to be the preferred version. Feel free to discuss the article here once you...

    Windows Xp 64Bit

I think Dual Core will be more useful before x64 will be. It will take a while before game developers release native 64-Bit games/apps.

    Never buy an Acer. EVER.

IBM passed the Thinkpad over to some other company, but they are still as solid as ever. That rocks about the promotion ^_^

    Wow. Just wow.

Yeah, I know lots of people who have met people online and have had successful relationships. I think you are more likely to meet up with a nutcase at the local pub.

    RAM Clocking

    10 * 300 = 3.0GHz could mean many different things, depending on his memory. If he has a superb 1GB set, he may have: FSB: 300MHz Divider: 1:1 (Meaning 300MHz * 2 = DDR600, PC4800) Multi: x10 Or FSB: 300MHz Divider: 9:10 (270MHz * 2 = DDR540, PC4320) Multi: x10 Or FSB: 300MHz Divider: 5:6...

    AM2 Processors

The next socket for AMD has been announced, and should be released in the first quarter of 2006, hopefully. These CPU's will finally support DDR2 memory. So, who is going to upgrade their computer at this time? I will pick up an AM2 probably quite similar to what I am using now, but I am...

    Windows Xp 64Bit

I've been using 32-Bit and 64-Bit Windows equally since earlier this year, and I still have a hard time recommending x64 right now. I have a lot of software that will not run in x64.

    64-Bit Half-Life ²!

Finally, we have another 64-Bit native game. I'll see about installing both versions and benching for any differences.

    Never buy an Acer. EVER.

I'm glad to hear that you are on the road to recovery man... I will never look twice at an ACER laptop in the future. I'm happy with my Dell for the most part, but wish I had been smarter with picking one with a better video card. My next laptop will likely be a Thinkpad, but I don't really...

    Build Stork's computer.

Without question, return one of the memory sets. You have *nothing* that would take advantage of even 3GB... 2GB is more than enough. XP Pro. I use x64 and many regular apps will not work with it, so just skip over it.

    Altec Lansing Ahs502i?

Cool, glad that you like it. Just take a break every once and a while I guess to let your ears cool down. It's good to know that the 502i is as good as the 602i, because the latter costs so much more :-|

    Build Stork's computer.

Get the G. Skill.. "Save yo money" Same performance for $60 less and looks way cooler in my opinion.

    Altec Lansing Ahs502i?

Welcome to the forums Shadow, and thanks for the comments! As far as I can tell, the 502i is identical to the 602i, just without the bass booster. It's sad that the MSRP is $60 more for the 602i if that's the only difference! Usually stores sell for less than their MSRP though, so if you could...

Thermaltake Max 4 3.5inch HDD Enclosure

Hmm. I had no issues at all.. what version of Windows are you running? Not that it should matter, I would make sure the jumper settings on the drive are set to Master. This is foolish, but make sure that the power cord inside the enclosure is properly connected to the drive.
