Steam tries out Friends List again

Kudos to Valve for taking years to pull off what Xfire has been doing all this time.

    Shadowbane, I'm free I'm free...

Hah. The games actually not so bad, so it's good to see that it's free now. I really wonder how long it will last though... the game or the 'freeness'. Anarchy Online has been free for a while though and it's still thriving, so hopefully it will work out the same way for SB.

    One cool piece of software

It's rare for a piece of software to impress me a lot. This one does. It's called Tunatic, and was sent to me by my friend Rowan. What it does, is listens to the song you are currently listening to, whether it be off a burned CD, an mp3, streaming audio... and will try to give you the name of...

    Silverstone Strider ST56F 560W PSU

Power supplies are often overlooked when building a system, but they shouldn't be! The ST56F is a great example of what a PSU should include feature wise. Boasting a 560W power output and 80% efficiency, it's obvious that this has the fuel to feed to your beefy system. If you have any questions...

    PowerColor X1600 XT BRAVO Edition

It's PCI-E, not PCI-X. Yes, I agree ATI still has some catching up to do. They have to prove to the consumer again, that they are the card to buy. No doubt, some of their cards are very, very good, but NVIDIA is the name that's engraved in most peoples heads now adays. The card could have...

Vista is not so memory hungry

Well, the '800MB' figure is rediculous at any rate. The thing is, most postings about this memory hog have mentioned a very specific build. If anything, that build could have developed a memory leak, or else this would have been public knowledge for quite a while. I find it strange that Vista...

    have a PSU Question

Yeah, that sounds good for the most part, but the 200W will only be pushing at least 40W [don't quote me] of power for that stuff there. I'd wait for a definitive answer from Matt when he see's this thread :)

    have a PSU Question

If you know how to daisy chain them together you should be fine as long as you are extremely cautious of how you are doing things. You don't want one PSU doing more work than the other one really. It's iffy, but can be done.
