    G R I D racing

Anyone use this game on an ATI card under Vista 64-bit? It's so aggrovating. I had the HD 3870 X2 installed, and the game wouldn't run well at all. I estimate that it was running at about 1/5th of an FPS. I then installed an HD 4850 and it ran well for a few minutes, then slowed RIGHT down...

AMD HD 4850 - Best Mid-Range GPU Ever? Yes.

From our front-page news: If you are excited about the GPU market right now, then good, you sure have the right to be. It's been a little while since ATI released a GPU to cause alarm for NVIDIA, but it's happening now with the HD 4850. Despite being a mid-range offering, it's more powerful than...

ASUS RoG Convention Gets Date Change

From our front-page news: Last Thursday, I posted about the upcoming ASUS Republic of Gamers convention, and already there is a major change. Due to scheduling issues, the convention has been pushed back from July 18 - 20 to August 8 - 10. Despite the change, we'll still be there with bells on...

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

The 9800 GTX+ is not going to be cheaper than the generic GTX... upon launch it will be priced at $229, while the 9800 GTX will be set at $199. As for the 8800 GTX being faster than the 9800 GTX, I'm not sure where you are getting that information, but our reports consistently show the opposite...

    ASUS U6E 12.1" Notebook

Mobile computing doesn't have to be boring - the U6E from ASUS proves that. Within its 12-inch frame is some of the best styling around and very competent hardware, along with a full-sized keyboard, fingerprint reader and four USB ports. Does this small notebook win big time? You can read the...

ASUS Hosting RoG Convention Next Month

That would be sweet man! Do what you can, we'd love to meet up with you and drool over Deuce. I won't be there, but I will be in spirit. Maybe.

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

I asked the same thing when they released the GSO. http://techgage.com/article/palit_geforce_9600gso_sonic_768mb/ I love NVIDIA's offerings, and they obviously have a huge advantage over AMD right now, but the market is being saturated beyond reason, and it needs to stop. It's the same thing...

ASUS Hosting RoG Convention Next Month

From our front-page news: This summer is gearing up to be a good one for LAN parties and cool conferences (IDF, NVISION, E3), and ASUS is helping to do their part by holding the first Republic of Gamers Convention, taking place from July 18 - 20. The bulk of the convention is a LAN party, where...

NVIDIA Prepares to Launch 9800 GTX+ Next Month

From our front-page news: If there is one thing NVIDIA's great at, it's making the competition feel the heat. Even though they are offering the best top-end cards right now, and have been since... hmm, the 6-series, the last thing they want to do is allow AMD to take the lead, in anything. We...

    Corsair Voyager GT 8GB

As far as I'm aware (I didn't check), the newer versions retail for less than what they used to, which is why there are slower chips. I could be wrong though, but you are right... the scores might not add up to what we saw when this review was published.

Gabriella Cilmi - 'Sweet About Me'

Hah, of course not. I didn't assume anyone here would actually like it, but she has a great voice, and for her age, she likely has one hell of a career ahead of her. It's odd, because it's not my type of music either... at all. This particular song really appeals to me though. I checked out...

    Computex 2008 - The Roundup

In our last Computex article, I am taking a look at a slew of products from a few different companies that had a lot to offer, such as OCZ, Thermaltake, ECS, Gigabyte, Foxconn and others. Included is a look at numerous motherboards, video cards and even some power supplies. You can check out...

NVIDIA Announces GTX 260 and GTX 280 Graphic Cards

It's the way I said it, and I didn't mean to imply that running out to purchase a 30" monitor is a minor thing. However, a $650 GPU is not exactly a light purchase either, and with 30" monitors constantly going down in price, it might not be too long before we see them all over. Imagine once...

NVIDIA Announces GTX 260 and GTX 280 Graphic Cards

Where did I say that people should be running out to pick up this card, or a 30-inch monitor, for that matter? I clearly stated, if you want to take full advantage of a GTX 280, you will want a 30-inch monitor. In no way did I insinuate that people should go out and pick up either or. It's there...

NVIDIA Announces GTX 260 and GTX 280 Graphic Cards

The point that I was making that was even a top-of-the-line 24" monitor is still cheaper than a GTX 280. If you want to take full advantage of the GTX 280, get a 30" monitor and welcome to the big leagues. (Not you personally, in general.)

NVIDIA Announces GTX 260 and GTX 280 Graphic Cards

As far as I'm concerned, the GTX 280 is for those who own a 30" monitor... and that's where a lot of power will be appreciated. Sounds a little stupid, I guess, but the fact is, today's cards are incredibly powerful, like you all said. But does that this mean that this shouldn't have been...

Hi there. I don't track settings like that, to be honest. Generally, I just focus on increasing the memory voltage and increase the northbridge (FSB) voltage if the FSB gets too high. If your memory is unstable at stock settings, you might need to RMA.

    G R I D racing

I might consider this one for benchmarking. NFS: Pro Street is a boring game and doesn't even support 2560x1600, so we need a replacement. Played the demo not long ago on the PS3 and it was pretty solid.

    Building an Affordable "Skulltrail" System

Yeah definitely... I'd love to know how you make out. I know of someone else with these same CPUs who overclocked to the same speeds I did with their ASUS board, so hopefully you'll have good results also.
