    Apple Patents Forced Advertising

From our front-page news: As a website owner, I'm well-aware of just how important advertising is to both the livelihood of staff members, and to the health of the site itself. There are some types of ads I don't quite agree with, which is why you don't see them here on our site. There's one...

Proposed UK Internet Law Bordering on Asinine

From our front-page news: For the most part, I'm not too pleased about the Internet situation we have in Canada, or at least in most of it. There's a total lack of ISPs, so price-gouging goes on, making ISP services in most of the US look fantastic. After hearing about some new Internet law...

    Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid-Tower

Oh I agree... if there are jobs available, take them. You must be well-respected to have a company like Canon ask you to do jobs like that. Minolta, huh? That's a name I miss hearing. I wasn't into photography much in those days, although I did own some simple point-and-shoots. The biggest...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

I agree with you on all points, and it bugs the heck out of me as well, but not to the extent of some others. I am not an ultra-dedicated CoD player, or game player in general, so I don't usually play games for weeks and weeks, or even longer. So a lot of what's lacking here, I won't even...

    Thermaltake Soprano DX

Haha, I know that feeling well. I hate it when I see a cable not connected to anything :D Glad there's no problem involved. Enjoy the new PC!

    Gigabyte's "333" Motherboards Bring S-ATA 3.0, USB 3.0 & 3x USB Power

I am not sure about a PCI expansion card, since the overall bandwidth limitation is slower than what USB 3.0/S-ATA 3.0 top out at, but PCI-E expansion cards are just fine. Believe it or not, some of the "budget" implementations of S-ATA 3.0 (don't think it applies to USB 3.0) involve using the...

    Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid-Tower

Ahh, stock photographer, huh? That sounds like a lot of fun, though I'm sure it can be tedious as heck at times as well. Thanks for sending me that manual, it looks great! I didn't read through the full thing yet, but I will especially when the time comes when I can make use of the information...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

We have reviewed a number of games in the past, but it's been a while. It mostly comes down to time, and the fact that gaming isn't our forte. Things are looking good for the future, though, so I'd expect to get more posted.

    ASUS P7P55D Pro

Well, the Pro isn't the only P7P55D board I'd recommend. It all depends on your budget, really. The non-Pro version is still a great board. After a point, you're just paying for more connectivity or other "bling" features.

Intel Divulges Information on TRIM for Linux

Hi thanosz: I just made this news post yesterday, so nothing has happened since. I'm currently working to come out of the major pile of content I have in queue over the next week, so as to create time to do this kind of experimentation. I'm hoping to have some data available by late next week...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Thanks for the nice comments man :-) I do enjoy reviewing games, but to be honest, I haven't done much of it in the past due to the simple fact that I never felt enthused about a particular title. I admit, I game in a couple of MMOs, so I don't pay near as much attention to hot new releases...

    ASUS P7P55D Pro

The ASUS overclocking tool is even cooler to see in person, trust me. I almost wish I could have recorded a quick video of it, because it's easily one of the coolest-looking apps I've used in a while. And yes, that 3.88GHz overclock was accomplished with little effort. I just selected the...

    Thermaltake Soprano DX

Hi Tal: I am not familiar with this chassis to be honest, and can't see all of the power connectors from our review, but in general, there are three kinds of fan connectors out there. The first two are small, and are either 3-pin or 4-pin - the latter has an extra fan so that the motherboard...

    Cooler Master HAF 922 Mid-Tower

The thing is, even professional photographers don't usually care that much about personal photos like these, so I just didn't put two and two together. I looked at it and thought it was a stock image, is the problem, but that's a good problem if you ask me, haha. Seriously nice photo. Whenever I...

    Google Previews Chrome OS

From our front-page news: In the world of software, new products of all stripes come out all the time, and rarely is a launch that exciting. But when the launch involves a brand-new operating system, and one that's being developed by none other than Google, people start to pay attention. Yes...

Adobe Releases GPU Accelerated Flash Plugin Beta

From our front-page news: There was a rather significant release that occurred earlier this week that I ended up forgetting about, but it's worth mentioning now even if I'm a few days late (whoops!). Adobe released its long awaited Flash 10.1 plugin. Before you say, "Who cares?!", realize that...

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2

Following-up to a hit like Modern Warfare must have been tough, but Infinity Ward has done a great job of delivering what we hoped to see, while tossing in many other surprises as well. Let's take a look at the game from all angles, the fine and the rough, and finish things off with a look at...

    Gigabyte's "333" Motherboards Bring S-ATA 3.0, USB 3.0 & 3x USB Power

ASUS said it has the "P6X58D Premium" coming out, which will be its first X58 to support both USB 3.0 and S-ATA 3.0. That's the good news... the bad news is that it's going to cost $309. I was also told that the company saw no reason to support those two technologies on lesser-expensive boards...

    Gigabyte's "333" Motherboards Bring S-ATA 3.0, USB 3.0 & 3x USB Power

Gigabyte announced the X58A-UD7, which has this feature. That's a high-end board though... I'm not sure about the regular X58 offerings. I'll look into it...
