EVGA's W555 Dual-Socket Motherboard Redefines High-End

Just over a week ago, EVGA sent out a teaser image to its Twitter feed that showed off an upcoming motherboard like no other. The first major feature is its size, which is too large for even the most common full-tower chassis' out there, and the second would be the fact that it includes two CPU...

The wait for AMD's Mobility Radeon HD 5000 series is soon over, and there's a lot to be looking forward to. Like the desktop equivalents, the mobile parts feature improved performance and power consumption over last-gen, DirectX 11 support, and even the ability to take advantage of the Eyefinity...

CES 2010: ASUS Unveils Cutting-Edge Notebook Designs

I admit that at first look, I wasn't at all impressed, but once I realized the reason behind it, I appreciated it a lot more. It's going to be nice for ASUS to have a name like Bang & Olufsen on this notebook, that's for sure.

    Overclocking Intel's Core i5-661

Purchasing a new CPU today that doesn't overclock well just doesn't happen, and Intel's Clarkdales don't change a thing. As a dual-core, these new models are even easier to overclock than the quads, making the OC'ing appeal even greater. We're taking a look at overclocking the Core i5-661...

As one of the largest makers of peripherals in the world, Logitech usually unveils some pretty cool product at CES. This year was a little different, though, as the company surprisingly only had one product to show off on the show floor. Yes, just one. The situation was similar to last year...

Seagate Releases BlackArmor PS 110 USB 3.0 External Drive

With USB 3.0's launch occurring mere months ago, it was to be expected that equipped devices would be seen all over CES, and so far, that's proven true. At the "CES Unveiled" press event, I stopped by Seagate's booth to see what was new, and lo and behold... a USB 3.0 external hard drive. That...

Can somebody answer me тhat question

There is no reason to go with such fast RAM. I'd recommend just getting a DDR3-1333 kit with decent timings (7-7-7) and rolling with those. You'll save cash, and won't see a single real-world difference in anything you do, unless you have unbelievably specific needs.

    Overclocking Intel's Core i5-750 & i7-870

Well that's true, but heat comes into the picture at some point for me. I tend to quote the voltage I use in the BIOS, but I need to begin quoting whatever CPU-Z is showing since it's a tad more accurate (as it reads the current real value from the BIOS). Glad you are successfully running such...

    Intel's 32nm Clarkdale - Nehalem for Everyone

Be sure that you are looking at the result with the GPU for the fairest comparison. Either way, these CPUs continue to become more power efficient with each new release, and it's great to see. At current time, Intel pushes the latest version of Windows Media Player for upscaling DVDs, although...

    Intel's 32nm Clarkdale - Nehalem for Everyone

To help kick 2010 off right, Intel has filled out the rest of its current-gen processor line-up with the help of Westmere. We're taking a look at the desktop variant here, which brings a lot to the table compared to the previous generation. For those who've been holding out for that next...

    CES 2010

Once again, I'll be heading down to Las Vegas to attend CES, and I can't help but be excited, because I feel like there should be a lot to see this year. I have more meetings scheduled than any other year, so I'm not quite sure at this point just how much content I'll be pushing out...

    Intel's Westmere IGP vs. NVIDIA's GF 9300

With Intel's Clarkdale processor set for launch very shortly, there's a lot of speculation as to the performance of the integrated GPU. To recap Clarkdale, this Westmere-based processor is built on a 32nm node, and includes an IGP on the same substrate. Both the CPU and GPU are separate (the GPU...

Are Girls Bigger Hardcore Gamers than Men?

For as long as there has been gaming, there has been "hardcore" gaming. No, this doesn't refer to triple-X titles, but rather to those who devote a lot of time to a particular game, or genre, or gaming in general, and at the same time, being quite skilled overall. The fact that a lot of time is...

Epic to Release Unreal Engine 3 to Mobile Platforms

That's a fantastic example of a non-UE3 engine game. It's great to see mobile graphics have advanced so much in the past couple of years. I can't wait to see what the situation is like five years from now.
