Cheating in Online Games 'Spreads Like Infections'

Do you cheat in your online games? Do you have friends that cheat? According to a recent study conducted with the help of a few million players on Steam, chances are that if you answer "yes" to one of those questions, you'll answer "yes" to the other one as well. It seems that cheaters like to...

    Aperture Science's Christmas

This made me LOL for real. It's not super-creative but the implementation is superb.

Moving Your 'Non-Movable' Android Apps to an SD Card

This is an area I've not been too familiar with. I've never rooted a phone, because I've never felt the need to, but I might at some point just to see what's possible. If I had an iPhone you'd bet I'd root it immediately, but Android is far less restrictive from the get-go.

Star Wars: The Old Republic - First Impressions

It be a glorious day for many people around the world, and I'm not just talking about Christmas here. A game that many have been waiting for has finally arrived, from a galaxy far far away... Star Wars: The Old Republic. The game marks a pivotal moment for BioWare as its first MMORPG, so read on...

CES 2012 Will Be Microsoft's Last

In a bit of surprising news, it looks like CES 2012 is going to be Microsoft's last. As the company has featured its products at the last 14 and dominated the main hall next to Intel for as long as I've been attending the show, this move is an interesting one. On the official Microsoft blog...

AMD Announces Radeon HD 7970; Promises to be Faster than HD 6970

That's no surprise... GPUs can't even take full advantage of PCIe 2.0, so it'd be hard to expect things to improve with 3.0. For a proper test though, I do believe CrossFireX tests should have been done, because you have no chance of pushing that sort of bandwidth with just one card. And even...

AMD Announces Radeon HD 7970; Promises to be Faster than HD 6970

It'd be a huge understatement to say that AMD's Radeon HD 7970 launch came out of nowhere, because we were given the card just last week and told that the embargo has been changed from January 9th to December 22. Wee. Those are not the kind of e-mails a tech writer likes to receive when so many...

Phone Tripod mount for Video Blogging? Look no further.

You ever see this? http://photojojo.com/store/awesomeness/iphone-slr-mount/ Doh... I somehow didn't even see that :-/ Ouch, that could be a bit of a problem. I'd hate for the mount to text message my family to rat me out on things. *note to self: never bring mini-mount to parties*

Moving Your 'Non-Movable' Android Apps to an SD Card

Large games like that tend to install themselves to external storage automatically, or keep the main game client and installer on the phone itself and then store all the data on the SD card. I hear you about that Flash complaint, and I can kind of relate. The phone I have has next-to-no storage...

Moving Your 'Non-Movable' Android Apps to an SD Card

Have an Android device that's quickly running out of space due to limited internal memory? Have a large collection of apps that refuse to move over to your SD card? If either of these is true, then you need to know about a simple tweak that can be done to forcibly move over many apps to your SD...

The Biggest Gaming Screw-Ups of 2011

Ahh, these are always fun. What were the biggest gaming screw-ups of the year? It goes without saying that Sony's debacle is right up there, but there's a lot more - some I didn't even know about. http://games.ign.com/articles/121/1215196p1.html

    next build around X79 + FT02B + 540mm RAD

I'll admit that I'm not much of an overclocker (personal PC is stock even), but I'll see what I can do with both the 3960X and 3930K soon. I find it rather exciting that you've been able to shift most of your workload over to the GPUs; you are the type of person NVIDIA is talking about whenever...

Phone Tripod mount for Video Blogging? Look no further.

Alright, I am going to have to admit something... I laughed out loud when I saw the SII mounted atop the Manfrotto! I'd never imagine someone to use a phone of any sort for real photography, but it sure does fit well there. That said, this product is as amazing as it is simple. I am not sure...

Are we just a little too sensitive?

Sometimes I just don't know about people. In Arab countries, Pepsi has released new imagery on its cans showing a Dubai skyline. The problem is that there are two skyscrapers and a plane. Of course, given everyone's sensitivity to 9/11, many are rasing quite a stink about this. You know, because...

Canadian Researches Get Go-Ahead to Test HIV/AIDS Vaccine

I love the typo I let slide through here, and especially love that I can't easily edit our titles without changing the URL. Will suck this one up as being a lesson to slow down in posting :D

Thermaltake Frio OCK & Jing CPU Coolers Review

I built a PC this past weekend for my grandmother using the FRIO OCK, and overall my experiences were good. I had installed the original FRIO a couple of times in the past, and was never thrilled with the mounting design (the four small rings on the back to secure the cooler in place aren't...

    next build around X79 + FT02B + 540mm RAD

I am in relative awe of that build... it is so clean and aesthetically-pleasing. The water-cooled tri-SLI GTX 580s sure don't hurt either. Are you sure you'd want to build something like this and go windowless? Of course if it had a window, you might not be able to stop looking at the inside. I...

The RIAA Gets Caught Pirating Music, TV Shows and Software

I am not sure who overlooks TV shows and things (well it'd be each respective network, I assume), but it's not RIAA. If the RIAA just downloaded music it could have used the excuse that it was for research, but with TV shows and software involved, that excuse would be null and void.
