Google Enables Street View in the Amazon

If I had to compile a personal list of favorite technologies released in the past decade, the tech behind Google Earth would be near the top. I first discovered it prior to Google acquiring Keyhole, and fell in love. To be able to scour the earth in such a manner while sitting comfortably behind...

DJ Soars to the Top of the Charts with Stolen Credit Cards

If you're a musician aiming to reach the top of the charts, you might not want to take the same route that UK-based DJ Denver White did. Eurocom Ships Ultra-Powerful 'Panther 4.0' 3D Notebook

A couple of years ago, a company by the name of Eurocom caught my attention. It might have had something to do with the fact that the folks there threw 4x OCZ Vertex 480GB 2 SSDs into a notebook... I'm not sure. Nonetheless, the company is always at the ready to deliver the highest-performing...

    GPU on 300W psu

The way I see it, in our testbed which featured a much larger CPU (150W vs. 65W), and one that featured much more RAM and even a discrete audio card, we topped out at 280W using a stress-testing tool that pushes the CPU and GPU to the limits. I am not sure if PSU rails will have to be accounted...

    Dr. Phil

Weird, I've never gotten a friendship request there from anyone I don't know. That aside, 10,000 hours in Second Life definitely means you don't have a first life.

DLC Quest: The Game Where Everything Simple Must be Purchased

I'm sure it's clear by now, but we have two minds about DLC at Techgage. In some cases, DLC might offer some real value, but other times it can feel like nothing more than a nickel & dime scheme. In fact, I wrote an article calling it just that a couple of years ago. Some comparisons for "good"...

NVIDIA's Kepler-based GPUs Rumored to Feature Dynamic Overclocking

That's exactly it. It can also go in the opposite direction to my knowledge, to underclock when a game simply cannot take advantage of the extra power. Also, the auto-overclocking wouldn't touch the voltage... the speed it can hit would be validated by NVIDIA for all 680's.
