Onboard sound works fine for me, but then again I'm half deaf from working on turbine engined helicopters in the Army for 20 years. So as long as I can hear it go boom when I frag something, it's all good...................;)

CPU's cost to much to let them run there all the time, I have to make a CPU last a long time and save up for each part I buy.

Only bench it there and play some games at those speeds................:D Most of the time it's running at a mild 9x250 1.45 bios........:cool:

I've only had my LCD for about 3 months now (no name from Wal-Mart) and it has performed perfectly from day one. It even games pretty good for a cheap no-name 19" LCD.

Check the timings..............it's OCZ with BH5 IC's, they don't go much higher at those timings.............;), Now if I were to looen the timings on TCCD ram (just about any brand) I can get to DDR600 out of a good set...............:) but they won't push those tight of timings at DDR500.

I've found that it just makes it more stable over long periods of time........heat kills.............;)

I guess I've got the exception to the rule NF4 chip set.................:) I'm running the stock cooler with it turned down to where I can't hear it over the other fans in the system and it hasn't gone over 40c that I've seen. But my UFO case does run pretty much at room temp..............;)...

Well, after a lot of thought, I decided to get one of the new Swiftech triple radiators for about half the price of the thermochill. That way I can run the dual 120mm for the video card and use the triple for the CPU, that should keep things pretty cool I think................ ;) And still...

If it's worth it or not is more a personal thing these days unless you're planning on running max OC's all the time. Same here, 1280x1024 is all I ever do, my X800XL does just fine at all games at standard settings. I'm to busy trying to stay alive to worry about the pretty suroundings to even notice how they look...............;) I would say $300 is about tops for me, but I haven't paid cash for a card in...

Nvidia has had this attidude for some time now (benchmark performance that is) but so has ATI to a lesser extent. That's one small reason I will not run SLi even though I still like Nvidia cards for a single card setup................:cool:
