Go with the 2x1 gig kit, with 4x512 you'll be forced to run 2T command rate and that's a big performance hit. With a 2x1 gig kit you'll keep your 1T command rate so your overall memory bandwidth will be higher even at looser cas timings.

What cooling setup are you using? You might consider getting a Thermaltake Big Typhoon which is a really effective cooling unit.

I'd say go with the Opty, you can always use a divider on your ram to prevent it going out of spec so that won't be a hold up. Later get some faster "Enthusiast" grade ram but try to stick with a 2x1gig kit for the best performance.

That overclockulator isn't worth the time it takes to download. The Phantom has as much power on it's 12V rails as most 550W units do. If you're going to stick with the 7800GTs in SLI you'll have plenty of power but if you plan to move up to a bigger pair like the 512MB 7800GTXs in the...

I got a bit of news from Gamespot today, the TimeShift Demo is out, I've never heard of it before and all I know is it's a FPS. Anyone know anything about it?

Pretty schpankity PSU there boyo. When that PSU was first made nVidia required 550W for SLI certification but recently they dropped it to 500W. Makes me wonder if Antec will resubmit it. The 12V rails are exactly the same amp wise as the X-2 by Ultra and it's a 550W unit.
