All American Computers.. An Inside Look

Does AAC offer a LiquidXS in anything but an acrylic chassis? I like acrylic but it's just not as hardy as metal for lan gaming.

    Blast from the...present?

When XP came out there was only 1 terrabyte server in existence and it was on George Lucas' ranch where they do all the SFX for movies. A 40 gig hdd was well over $100 and I personally was running a 20. :) I love progress!

    Super Talent memory sticks

I'd like to get my hands on the swivel cap ST sticks to see for myself just how much better the lids protect the tang end. True, anything is better than no cap but if it ends up stuffing pocket lint and grit up against the contacts and holding it there then it could end up being just as bad as...

    Super Talent memory sticks

A couple look like the mini-kart with a swivel lid. Nice concept but that leaves the sides open so in a pocket you can still end up with junk getting jammed in there.

Pictures of top DFI nF5 AM2 board..

I just don't understand how you like having the ram over the socket. To me that's just weird as hell, all my mobos have always had the ram in the pictured location.

    XG Magnum 600W External PSU

The fan runs really slow and is as near to dead quiet as one could wish for. If there was no fan at all in the EX then when you really pressed it you'd likely have the PSU dropping wattage so fast it'd be nearer to 350-400W under a heavy load. As it stands now the PSU never shows over 41C and...

Hate to say it but that's an Intel SLI DFI...it says so right on the mobo.

Imitation: The Sincerest Form of Flattery

My window design was different than Antec's, Antec went with the tight radius around the handle, I went with a larger square around the handle. Chieftech are the ones that ended up using the same window shape.

I don't care if they did borrow the idea, I personally find it flattering. I wasn't being facetious in the tread title.

Imitation: The Sincerest Form of Flattery

The Kandalf LCS is similar but it uses a 3-120mm fan mounted in the front door of the case rather than the 2-120mm rad mounted in the bottom 6 drive bays like I did with Vince's PC and the VA8000BWS I used to review the Apex Ultra. Just looks odd that Tt released an WC case using the very...

Imitation: The Sincerest Form of Flattery

Look at the method of build. Remember Vince's PC or how I did the setup on the Apex Ultra review? 6mo.s after Vince's PC and a month and a half after the Apex Ultra review Tt releases a case with a built in vertical rad in the lower front.

    Arctic Cooling Silentium T2

That PSU calc is way off...according to it my system should pull close to 500W at full load. According to the Magnum EX it's closer to 200W.

    Need some help here.

Don't ask me, I'm lost. I do know that if you go with the K8N Diamond that you will not be sorry, it's one hell of an overclocker. I got Vince's PC up to 2.88 (X2 4800+) on it at 1.5V although it wasn't fully stable at that speed a bit of a Vcore boost would've helped. Beautiful board, even...
