I agree. I love the colors, not to mention everything else on it.

Recent RIAA Case: $1.5 Million for Sharing 24 Songs

Like I say, what will stop it? Not even China seems to be able to make much of a dent.

Kinecting the Dots: Where Motion Gaming Needs to Change

I have to agree with you, Rob, on pretty much all points. Motion gaming isn't really all that appealing to me. I'd rather use the controller or keyboard/mouse for most things. If I need exercise, I usually just go for a walk!

Adobe to Release Flash to HTML5 Converter

I for one have been awaiting the demise of Flash and the other proprietary standards. I can definitely understand why people like flash, though.

    GIGABYTE UD9 4Way SLI/SSD SuperCombo

Not to mention the display. It'd probably end up costing me more than my original AMD-based idea. I'm going to give this some thought. What do you think?

    Building New Gaming Rig

I think I may be able to convince my parents to chip in on, so I'll probably go all-out and get that 120GB OCZ vertex 2 SSD. The 480GB one is $1199CA. Holy cow!

    Building New Gaming Rig

I hadn't thought of the laser vs. optical point - the G500 looks good. As for SSDs, it's tempting -- do you like any company or brand in particular?

    Building New Gaming Rig

Oops, I meant 4 x 2GB. :o And about the SSD, I guess I'm just curious about the technology. Maybe I could just get an HDD for now (after all, 2TB should be more than enough) and see what happens from there. I imagine the SSDs will come down in price ... eventually. Right now they're absurdly...

LimeWire Loses Court Battle to RIAA and Shuts Down

I haven't used Limewire or the like in years. I use uTorrent for my ... legitimate downloads.

    Building New Gaming Rig

I hope you guys don't mind me resurrecting an old thread, but I've updated my plans for the system I'd like to build: Corsair HX Series 750W PSU ThermalTake Armor+ ATX Full Tower case Seagate Barracuda XT 2TB 7200RPM SATA 6GB/s Internal HDD Gigabyte GA-890FXA-UD5 motherboard Sapphire Radeon HD...

LimeWire Loses Court Battle to RIAA and Shuts Down

While an interesting development, Limewire's demise is no more than a drop in the bucket. The music/move/etc industries are fighting a losing battle. Nothing short of criminalizing "illegal" downloading and incarcerating at least half the world's population will put a stop to file sharing. The...

Seagate Believes in a Hybrid HDD Future, not an SSD One

As the Borg say, resistance is futile. SSDs will take over eventually, although HDDs will probably hang on for a while yet.

Are We More Lenient of Bugs in Large Games?

This reminds me of a book I read called Game Coding Complete. While focused on coding, it's written by an industry veteran (he worked on a lot of the Ultima Games, for example) and includes many insights into the game industry. He gives personal accounts of how many classical games were...

Canonical to Replace GNOME with Unity in Ubuntu 11.04

I've never tried Unity since I don't own a netbook but this is interesting. Perhaps the folks at Canonical don't like the way Gnome 3.0 is looking.
