    Tagan TG1100-U95 1100W Power Supply

I have ways of making zem speak...1 & 3 are on one rail and 2 & 4 are on another so they're cool to hook up together. Don't get me wrong, a 6 is still a good score but it needs things like complete documentation, normal sleeving and a single big, quiet fan to get it pushed up to an 8.

All American Computers.. An Inside Look

Sadly, Monarch, here in the Atlanta area seems to have fallen prey to the same trap and is looking to have gone under. Sucks too since they were a pretty good source for parts here local.

    Altec Lansing PT6021

Actually the driver I spoke of is a 2.5" dome with .75" high roll surround (forgot that it was actually 4" not 3.5") and I'd have a dome tweeter that floats on the apex of the dome, hard to explain but it would feature a neodymium magnet that is attached to the mid's dome structure. I could do a...

    Altec Lansing PT6021

Personally, to me, the ultimate high end HTPC speaker system would be completely wireless with the frequency operating in a band that's extremely high (9.6ghz anyone) that would allow for operation with extremely good treble response and no problems with interference from other wireless devices...

I wonder if those XT's are unlockable via Rivatuner. If so he could have at the very least an easy upgrade to a 6800GT just by a bit of tweaking...

    Altec Lansing PT6021

That's odd, when did Plantronics enter the picture? Last I heard, Sparkomatic bought Altec and formed Altec Lansing Technologies...I've been out of the loop. I've also got to ask, with multiple drivers you run into the problems of wave cancellation which is why high-end home speakers tend to...

    Reading VGA fan speed

Try Rivatuner. I think it'll read fan speeds on cards that support it.

Ok, for a quick comparison of performance the 6800XT is about on part with a 6600GT while the 7600GT is about the same as a 6800 Ultra. Yes it has a narrower pipeline but the ram is faster and the core is a better design so it makes up for the lower ram bit width. if you look around you can find...

    PNY PR Horrors

I hate to defend PNY (as they're as civilized as a bunch of baboons) but that's an nVidia issue. PNY doesn't write the drivers, nVidia does.

    iolo System Mechanic Pro 6

I honestly hadn't heard that 7 was out yet and as snowed under (not literally, I'm in a warm state) as I am right now I can say no review of it anytime soon, not from me. If it's basically the same engine as 6 and just a minor interface shake up I'd advise to avoid it unless you're planning to...

    Selecting a Power Supply

EPS is the 8 pin power used for servers, typically the PCP&C stuff will either have both 8 & 4 pin or come with an adapter. As to the size, yes it'll fit there's plenty of depth between the rear of the case and the rear of the drive bays.

    Selecting a Power Supply

I've got ATX PSUs that are 5.5" deep so I've always gone with that as the minimum depth for ATX power supplies.

    Selecting a Power Supply

The Silencer 610 is a bit bigger than a standard ATX PSU to the tune of 1.5" to 2.0" but it still should be fine in that case, I don't see you having any issues.

    XG Duro 900 Power Supply

Just a quick update, I have loaded the Duro to 750W with 600W on the 12V rails and the 12V voltages dropped .02V at full load from 12.06 (at 580W, 432W on the 12V rails) to 12.04V and a total of .10V from a 96W load which were 12.14 with a 48W load on the 12V rails. At 750W the ripple on the 12V...

    Selecting a Power Supply

The new X-Pro series from Ultra are pretty solid, I've got a prototype 600W unit that I've been playing with and it's nice as heck. No modular cables sadly but still pretty spanky.
