US Pension Plans Sue Yahoo! for Rejecting Microsoft's Offer

Apple buying Sony? I think Sony has enough assholes there already, they don't need an influx of Apple's. That and if Apple acquired Yahoo, Jobs might proclaim himself king of the universe.

    Happy Birthday Mr. DarkSynergy!

We completely redid the wiring closet at work and used the network down time to upgrade a lot of our hardware. When we finally finished, we had somehow broken our exchange box. Internal mail was moving but nothing was coming in externally. We tried everything but finally downgraded to the...

    Happy Birthday Mr. DarkSynergy!

You and Mr. Alcohol are always welcome in my home! The wiring closet shouldn't be to bad, just time consuming. I plan on posting before and after pics here in the forums to show just how out of hand cabling can get.

WinXP Pro 64 bit free download

But you don't have the ability to install either or, correct? I thought that you simply purchase a license for one or the other and thats how the disk knows which version to install. Perhaps I am mistaken.

    Saitek Eclipse II Illuminated Keyboard

I loved my original so much that I bought a second one for work. Almost a year and a half of everyday use at work as a network administrator (a lot of typing) and it still works as it did the day I reviewed it. The back lit keys could still benefit from being a bit brighter but all in all...

    EVGA Step-Up Question

Find out the date that the card comes out and see if your setup falls into that time window. If you have any questions, email evga. I have contacted them in the past about an upgrade 7800 GT to GTX and it was absolutely painless. They are great to work with and quite helpful.

Toshiba Officially Backs Out of HD DVD Camp

Yeah. As much as I was rooting for HD-DVD (I dislike Sony so much) it's nice to know that the format of tomorrow is finally decided upon. We are looking to get a new television within the next year and it will be nice not having to purchase 2 separate players simply to enjoy our favorite...

    Stompfest LAN 2008

Awesome! If you in the Indy area, or even within a reasonable drive from Indy, sign up. It's a lot of fun. Cost is 20 dollars up from simply to reserve your seat. According to the front page of the LAN, that money will be refunded to you once you arrive and check it. How many Bawls can $20...

    Robert!

What ever explanation I come up with will pale in comparison to our stories as to why we are up at 4 am... seriously.

    Loudest machine on the planet?

The board is expensive for a few reasons. First off, its a top end board and thus is priced with a premium to account for this. Secondly, they had to license the NVIDIA south bridges to allow SLI to run with the Intel developed northbridge chipset. This added a considerable amount onto the...

    Loudest machine on the planet?

Haha. You said budget and Skulltrail in the same sentence. Seriously, I bet that is a loud machine. Regardless of noise, for a platform like that, I think I could look past that minor inconvenience. Can't wait for the new article.

    I am so ghetto...

Brother, I am far more impressed with the lone 120mm fan sitting by itself blowing air onto the GPU than I am of the power supply on a box. Regardless, well done.

    Thoughts on NVIDIA aquiring AGEIA

They are taking the software kit quite seriously but there hasn't been mention of the PhysX hardware platform at all. It will be interesting to see how they approach this... if they do at all. If not, Ageia's PhysX platform will fade into history as a minor step in the grand scheme of things.

    Thoughts on NVIDIA aquiring AGEIA

When Jen-Hsun Huang spoke yesterday about the purchase of Ageia at the companies financial earnings meeting, he addressed the Ageia physics engine extensively but skipped over the hardware entirely. How do you feel about this? Yay, nay or indifferent?

Walt Mossberg Fondles Lenovo's ThinkPad X300

I currently have two notebooks that I use regularly, a Dell Latitude running Vista Ultimate and a ThinkPad T42 running XP Pro. The T42, like all ThinkPads, is built like a tank so I expect the X300 would be the same. I use mine as a mobile PC to do site work and dick around. It's good to see...
