    WTB PSU!

Well, the reason I'm wanting it to eBay is to build my rep up there since I've got a ton of stuff I'd like to clear out of my lab. That's why I asked him to bid on it, not that I figured anyone would snipe it or make him pay more than the $65 I'm attempting to get for it (shipped mind you).

Serj Tankian - "Saving Us" music video

That's hilarious, I loved the "discussion" about the producer. "Who hired this guy?" "I dunno, all he does is play with his blackberry and order pizzas all day". Classic! He reminds me of the late Frank Zappa.

    WTB PSU!

$50 + $15 = $75? That new math sure is a beyotch. BTW, you won't touch the VX550W for less than $99 at Frys. Ok, I'll tell you what, since I'm a nice guy I'll cancel my auction and sell it to you for $75 since paying $65 sucks too hard. Deal?

    2.1 speaker set

The nice thing about Logitech's are that once they go out of warranty Logitech will sell you a new set (whatever set you choose mind you) for 50% off. Insane!

Also look into the Corsair VX550W if the HX620 is a bit too pricey.

    OCZ Announces PCP&C Turbo-Cool 1200 Power Supply

There are cases where a large PSU is needed, such as dual quad core CPU's, SLI with 8800 GTX/Ultra's and several (8 or so) hard drives in raid. In cases such as those the transients can push past 700W with ease and lesser PSU's can cause the machine to not boot into windows. Also running a PSU...

    2.1 speaker set

For that budget the X-230 Logitech's are about the best you'll find. You could step it up to around $70 and get the Z-4 2.1 set with a bit more power and better sound.

    Thermaltake Toughpower Modular 750W PSU

I haven't noticed any such defect. The Toughpower 750W has been in my room-mate's PC since November of last year and been through a couple of upgrades without so much as a hiccup.

    Vantec SATA/IDE to USB Adapter

Since it's a driverless device in XP (it's seen as a USB mass storage device) I'd lay odds on Vista treating it the same.

    Vantec SATA/IDE to USB Adapter

Dude, put the crack pipe down and step back. That old 4200RPM laptop drive would be lucky to see 16MB/s let alone hundreds. Hell, current generation drives don't do hundreds of MB/s except in burst speeds and that's just for the amount of data held in the cache. You really should try learning...

I don't have it installed at present. I could try another source engined game though.

    Half-Life 2: Episode Two

I click on 16:10 and hit apply and it goes back to the options menu without applying, dunno why. I just got a KVMP that's VGA only so I can run more than one PC at a time. As such I'm using the VGA input on my monitor rather than the DVI-D so I dunno if that's the issue. GRAW2 works in the same...

I can't get it to run in anything but 4:3 so I'm a mite disappointed.

    Auzentech X-Fi Prelude

BTW before anyone else comes looking to whine about the score, remember it's based on what the card features at the time of the review. The card has a ton of potential (as I stated in the review) but RIGHT NOW it's untapped potential and I can't score something based on what may or may not...

    Auzentech X-Fi Prelude

It doesn't encode DTS yet and it does not decode DTS MOVIES (I suggest that you re-read the review) to the analog outputs AT ALL. The Creative versions decode DTS from movies to the analog outputs. So, in short you're the one left looking like the jackass you are. Um, I hate to break the news...

    Auzentech X-Fi Prelude

EAX 5 is available in Vista only. As for DTS all of the X-Fi's decode it to the analog outputs. That's part of what the hardware DSP is there for. I HAD a previous card, the Audigy Platinum and it decoded DTS on the fly. As to me talking crap about the card, I was contacted by Stephan Bae (the...
