I just started studying XNA. I downloaded XNA game studio last night. It makes things easier for individuals or small companies wanting to develop for the PC or XBox360. I'm not expecting to make a living off it. I would like to create a fun, interesting, and immersive game, though. Haven't...
Oh, I despise these mobile carriers! When I worked for Rogers/Fido, I saw some seizure-inducing data charges. Many people got bills charging them thousands of dollars. And I saw some bills that were charging the customer hundreds of thousands of dollars for data usage.
Yeah, Eunoia, that's what I do. I used to have an old Windows 95 computer with a Pentium, less than 1G HDD, and I think less than 512MB of RAM. Sometimes I wish I had kept it, but it really had become useless.
I know English and a little French. I want to learn more, like Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese, Russian ... yeah, ok, I just want to be a human universal translator (Star Trek reference).
I actually like working on old PCs. For me it sort of brings back memories. While my HP laptop is away, I'm playing old games and web surfing on a 10-year-old Acer computer:
112GB Maxtor HDD
NVIDIA Geforce 4 MMX 440 (AGP 8x)
Pentium 4 2.66Ghz
It was super slow before I worked my magic...
I sent my laptop back to HP because of the temps and artifacting in games that just started. GPU is probably cooked! Damn, that laptop was expensive!
Now, I'm on a 10-year-old computer with a Geforce4!
Mmmm, gratuitous power ... I so want to build an obnoxiously powerful system. I'm just waiting for the right time. :D But 4 video cards! Woah, I never considered that! I was just thinking of 2!
Since the aliens seem to never give up, Duke should take the battle to their homeworld! There could be levels on exotic alien worlds, in space. Maybe the aliens kidnap him somehow, and that's how he ends up there. Of course, he breaks out and wreaks havoc.
Any other ideas on how to keep the...
I've been using Chrome steady for quite a while. I don't see any reason to switch back to Firefox, really. I am curious as to how it's doing these days, though.
Playing it on insane is ... insane!
I agree the linearity can be a let-down. I want to get the gunslinger achievement, and somehow misplaced that gold pistol somewhere. I couldn't go back for it, so I had to use chapter select to redo the level.
Better late than never! Way too late for me, though. I'm playing through the game a second time on Insane difficulty and trying to get all the Steam achievements. Suffice it to say I really like the game.
