    Motherboard Question and Boot Problem

I wasn't judging you, just recommending that you not make everyone in the world privy to your choice of software ;) You might try rotating that Zalman HSF around 90 degrees. What chassis do you have? I have that same cooler and depending on your case, you can rotate it to free up a bit of...

    NVIDIA Launches 790i Chipset & 9800 GX2 Graphics Card

I just got my 8800 GT and I am perfectly happy with it. It's does what I need it to do on my 24" monitor and when I get a second in a few months, I can't imagine needing one for quite a while. The 9800 GX2 looks nice but I don't have any desire (or need) for it. Oh, and for what you have in...

    Motherboard Question and Boot Problem

Not to be a boner about things but sbrehm is right. This is not the place to discuss illegal software. The slow performance of your computer might be in your head. Your not going to get instant on performance from any PC and the times you are reporting aren't all that bad. As for your fan...

Intel Details Nehalem, Dunnington, Tukwila & Larrabee

Eventually the programs we use will be able to efficiently use more than one core. How about we start there. The future of CPUs is in parallel computing. NVIDIA is onto something with their CUDA architecture. Keep an eye on it. There is a lot of processing power in their GPUs.

AMD is down at the moment. I am sure they are holding their cards close to their chests because they absolutely have to. I am waiting to see how their video on die turns out. Also, when they can start to ship Phenoms with more competitive clocks, then we will see competition.

When is it right to sell reviewed hardware.

Also, when the stock is up.

When is it right to sell reviewed hardware.

If a review sample isn't returned, I more often than not I give it away to friends or family or it sits in my office/test bench/safe haven from the wife. I have sold a few items in the past but it's always been for pennies on the dollar. I'm not looking to get rich off this gig and I certainly...

    Cooler Master Cosmos S

If you have 3 drives totaling one and a quarter terabytes, I am assuming that they are new enough to still be covered under warranty. If they are faulty, RMA them and have the manufacturer deal with the bad drives. You could also scan them for corrupted sectors. If the tests come back clean...

    Cooler Master Cosmos S

While I won't call anyone a fool for owning more than one drive, NAS is where it's at. I have a pair of 320GB in RAID 0 for my OS and all my media stored on a central NAS attached to my switch. I agree with Bill in saying that most everyone does not need that many drives.

Zalman Reserator XT Hybrid Liquid Cooling System

I will upload a few pics tonight. I took the thing apart last night to take a look around and ended up kinking one of the tubes. Fortunately the XT lets you know when there isn't any flow thanks to the flow gauge on the side. I think we would do some interesting things on the inside... perhaps.

There are plenty of walkthroughs on the net concerning lapping... hmmm. Perhaps that would be a nice addition to our list of articles. Hmmm... Just make sure you lay the sandpaper on a flat surface like a desk or table and do your thing. You could recruit your brother if you wanted :D

New modder competition site, from MaximumPC

Would it be unfair to post the voting link on the front page of Techgage? Give one of our favorite sons a bit of deserved publicity?

    Benchmarking High Scores

Instead of posting your scores with that Skulltrail, why don't you just use MS-PAINT, or whatever generic open source version Gentoo comes with, and draw us all bending over and your scores giving us the business. That said, I am excited for more scores. Competition, and fair competition...

Zalman Reserator XT Hybrid Liquid Cooling System

The blocks themselves are cheap. They are half the cost of a Koolance or Danger Den full card block and apparently do just as good of job. When you get three of anything, it looks worse than it really is I think. After working with the Reserator XT for a month, I can see why you would choose...

    Benchmarking High Scores

I knew you were the man to talk to about this. Perhaps we can get a few from the AQM site to post some scores here as well... spur a little competition.

Bobert, I have a radiator that I would donate to your cause if you want to "play" around with that cooler. Also, go to your nearest hardware store, or dare I say Wal-Mart, and pick up some fine grit sandpaper. You could lap that waterblock back into shape in the time it takes Vista to install...

Zalman Reserator XT Hybrid Liquid Cooling System

FISH, I am digging your deviantART page. Your quite the artist. Oh, and that machine you have there with the Reserator isn't all that bad either. ;)

    Benchmarking High Scores

Count me in. I can update it in my down time at work. There was such a lack of participation that it fell to the wayside but if we can gather interest, I would be happy to update the lists on a daily basis. B1lk1, do you have any suggestions? Perhaps ideas that you learned from the AQM4 boards?
