Data Recovered from Shuttle Columbia Hard Drive

You just cannot swap out stuff in such a complicated system that is a dated as it is. The logistics of such a change would be mind boggling. It makes no sense what-so-ever to start pulling systems of the shuttle apart to change things when it would cost millions of dollars for so little gain...

Investor Carl Icahn Pushes Forward with a Yahoo! Proxy Battle

They are back to the table. Microsoft is giving Yahoo an out to do a deal before Icahn can get his battle machine up and running too. Microsoft has offered to either purchase some of Yahoo or to join forces somehow without actually buying them out. The plot thickens...

Data Recovered from Shuttle Columbia Hard Drive

Guys, the Shuttles were created before Windows. Plus, if it works why try to break it? Just because most of us enthusiasts are foolish enough to upgrade to PC's far more powerful than our needs doesn't mean they should try to tear the shuttle apart to modify something.

    Antec Nine Hundred

I personally reviewed the NZXT Tempest and the Centurion 590. Not only did I feel the Tempest was a far better case than the 900 in both quality and airflow (I also owned a few 900's) it is far better for cable management. I currently run a Centurion in my main PC since it also has far better...

    Antec Nine Hundred

Skip this case. The NZXT Tempest is far better and has better cable management. Even the Coolermaster 590 I just reviewed is far better for less money. The 900 need to be retired.

Do you keep your PC overclocked?

Thanks to the inability of ANY motherboard maker to build a decent budget AM2+ motherboard to support the 9850BE I don't even get to overclock. I am saving my pennies for the ABIT AV78 which is able to atleast run my CPU stock without the chance of implosion.....

Investor Carl Icahn Pushes Forward with a Yahoo! Proxy Battle

Believe me, I am on your side. This is going to end ugly for Yahoo it seems. If Icahn gets any form of control it will be chopped up for the best profits for his interests. All I am saying is that as CEO he should have been paying attention to possible scenarios like this and he could have...

Investor Carl Icahn Pushes Forward with a Yahoo! Proxy Battle

And then the stockholders can hold Jerry Yang personally responsible for this since it sure looks like Yahoo could be chopped up and sold off causing job losses and such. He had a damn good and fair offer on the table and it was in the stockholders best interest to pursue it. Now that that...

Investor Carl Icahn Pushes Forward with a Yahoo! Proxy Battle

Yahoo is a publicly traded company. They have to answer to stockholders who are rightfully upset that they were screwed out of a chance to make some good coin by a CEO that is rich no matter what happens. The stockholders very much have the right to do this and SHOULD do this since they were...

Investor Carl Icahn Pushes Forward with a Yahoo! Proxy Battle

I believe Microsoft will return to the table now once a rational business minded board is in power. Jerry Yang really dropped the ball, but he still stands to walk away a very very rich man so it's hard to even say he loses on any front.

Yahoo! Up for More Negotiation with Microsoft

http://www.marketwatch.com/news/story/icahn-moving-ahead-yahoo-proxy/story.aspx?guid=%7BD9BA5063-CD6C-44D0-9A42-2EDF324A2A84%7D&dist=msr_8 I called it. Say goodbye to that dumbass that could have been the hero called Jerry Yang. Time for a major reality check!

    Cooler Master Centurion 590

I agree. This case was very well thought out and I can't think of another $100 or under case I would chose over this one.

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

    1. My motherboard cost $95. Definitely not a budget board. 2. For $5-10 more, they could have built it properly 3. The DS3 and all boards like it are running Quads all over the WWW without dying. 4. I agree that an open test bed is not the best for temps. 5. AMD should have required...

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

I will continue to run it, but I expect it to kill the motherboard eventually. The board doesn't support ANY 125W TDP processors officially, but it will technically run them all. I would honestly NOT recommend this board with any high end AMD processor. EDIT: Stick to the lower end dual...

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

Actually, you'd be surprised as to how well this thing is performing in games. I can play many of my favorites at medium/medium low settings @ 1680X1050 without problem.

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

I went with the 780G platform mainly because I had a spare HD3450 to go into it for the Crossfire X. That and 9850 was only a few dollars more with the unlocked multi. The Intel boards IGP is kinda weak so I figured I'd have some fun for a few months then I'd upgrade the video to something...

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

But most of the 780G, including all of ASUS's boards, do NOT officially support the 6400+ or ANY 125W TDP processor, whether it is dual core or quad core. Believe me, I have looked heavily into this. Many of the people running them with 125W CPU's are oblivious of the problem like I was. We...

Enthusiasts should avoid the 780G platform

My PC recently died and I found myself needing something with some good power on a very strict budget. I started poking around and I remembered that nice new chipset from AMD, the 780G. It was advertised as a fantastic overclocker with exceptional graphics capabilities, for an IGP system that...

Yet another "Special Edition" Veyron... the Sang Noir

The problem is that I believe there is NO tire that is rated for over 190MPH as above that there is just no way to reasonably test them. 250MPH could never be considered normal conditions, even for this car.

Yahoo! Up for More Negotiation with Microsoft

I think he just initiated the final downfall of Yahoo. He had a great offer and greed made him do something very stupid. He'll still walk away a very rich guy even if he manages to totally kill off Yahoo, but he really porked the stockholders/investors. I see a bid to have him removed as CEO...
