I don't think they wear out, I believe the incredible temperature they can get to just causes them to explode. As we all know, with the extra heat comes extra PSI.

I cannot see why they would bother. Blu-Ray really doesn't add anything special to the console as they say. I know I am a minority in that I bought my PS3 specifically for Blu-Ray functionality, but most people would pick X-Box live over Blu-ray any day.

Nice kit, but is there any motherboard out there capable of successfully running them at that speed? I see all kinds of people reporting even the best of the best motherboards struggling with 1600MHz+.

OK, now I understand your predicament. The radiator is about 1/2" larger than the fan so this will not work for you. You will need to mount a radiator externally to do what you want. Hope this helps.

What case do you have? The fan is as wide as the radiator, it mostly depends on the location of your side-panel tabs. They do ship an offset bracket with the Pure.

I cannot see how it is overly effecting the sound. When it comes to sound, you really need to try it and see if you like it and if you do then you got the right setup.

SLI doesn't do diddly squat for this benchmark. A single 8800 GT will get you there. You will get a substantial increase over an 8600.

BTX was a bad idea that was doomed for failure. While this does remind of hte 900, it is a dramatic improvement OVER the 900. E-ATX is the next generation larger size motherboard that will allow dual CPU's for the masses.

I'm not sure I agree. I'd say most people that own the Xonar D2 are going to have a high end speaker system that has its own headphone jack.
