Apple receives yet another broad patent

Wouldn't stuff predating the patent render the patent moot?

I love it being a "limited edition" case. Lian Li has been offering the snail case since about 2003.

Anyone seen the new Yahoo! mail beta yet?

Yeah, Rob, sadly I don't think you get the same flexibility as far as POP support like you do with gmail but for a simple personal web mail interface, it's pretty nice. I've had the same Y! mail address for 11 years... now I might start using it more often.

Anyone seen the new Yahoo! mail beta yet?

I dunno how many of you use Yahoo! mail but the new beta looks outstanding! Google could stand to learn a few things as far as making the use of their other services from your email page. Imagine being able to access your Youtube or Photobucket accounts via a shortcut that's in plain view...

Move Over Firefox, I Choose Chrome

I tried Chrome and it was too spartan for my liking. Stuck with Ff after that. Never had Firefox cause a spontaneous reboot though.

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

No, I don't think the pin got shoved out, I think it got opened up some causing it to arc and get hot and causing the other three to pass more current than they're rated for which caused the damage to them. I've seen the same thing happen on ATX +12V 4 pin connectors as well as PCI-e 6 pin...

"Power tends to corrupt, and absolute power corrupts absolutely."

How many times have you used that Seasonic 750W? I say Seasonic as they're the OEM of the Silencer series of PC P&C. After several rounds of plugging and unplugging a PSU from components the pins will open up and cause the current to go beyond tolerable levels which results in what we've seen...

LifeLock CEO Has Identity Stolen 13 Times

He placed his SSN in public view. It got stolen and used to dupe businesses. That was able to happen because he was negligent in a manner that smacks of willful disregard of his own safety and the safety of others. He deserves to be sued. Had he not broadcast his SSN, no-one could've used it in...

Trouble Sleeping? Your Gadgets Could be to Blame

What's ironic is that if my TV isn't going when I'm sleeping, I can't sleep. Fallout from being unemployed, unable to find work due to an injury and having my marriage fail all at the same time.

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

Only by selling Windows to Mac owners so they can emulate Windows which is a plus for Mac owners. This is something you won't see the Cupertino crowd doing to make inroads into the PC segment. IMHO that is a huge blunder on their part.

Microsoft's Browser Choice Screen Working Well for its Competitors

It's more to the point that Apple users need to know that despite the fact that Apple now makes what amounts to a PC with their OS, the games aren't for them. I see plenty of software that declares itself for OSX so why is declaring the same compatibility with the MS product an issue? And Games...
