Japan to Get Mind-Reading Vending Machine

Interestingly enough, most Asian stores and vending machines have the same flavor of something on one or two rows. Diversity generally isn't their thing, so yeah... "Hmm, do I want lemon Gatorade or lemon Gatorade?" (and no, here it is Lemon, not Lemon-Lime)

Does the FBI Care More About Copyright Issues than Missing Persons?

Because if they keep putting enough of a front up, it provides enough of a case to restrict the internet on the grounds of protecting capitalism, and the rights for corporations to make money. They have to go through the motions now so that they can make everyone's life miserable later.

The Future of the Web? No Anonymity

Youre damn right I've got something to hide! ME! As for this... America will sadly do something like SK did under the guise of "security" which is a "real ID" Consequently SK's number one crime is internet fraud and scams since everyone essentially has their real information connected to...

    Can Piracy be Alright "Sometimes"?

I think sometimes that pirating while letting the extremely rich pay for it actually ultimately feeds this enormously fat beast that we call EA.... er... I mean, the gaming industry. I realize that the cost of production has increased significantly over the years, but has the quality of games...

An Interesting Look at MMO Gold-Farming

When I was shopping for my current PC, there were several computers in this massive computer parts place that were set up and running multiple bots per machine. (around 4 machines) I would have to say that there were about 10-12 bots running on machines in the open.

40 billionaires to give half their wealth to charity

... 99% of 100,000,000,000 still means they are leaving their kids with 1,000,000,000. I wish they would give it to resolve the nations debt. I have actually been teaching this in class recently as a topic for discussion. (Im reaching ESL in South Korea)

    Quick Impressions of openSUSE 11.3

My quick impression is that you need to share the BG. Not sharing the BG with people = ninjas killing kittens who act cute; a world without which is just a little bit darker.

How many blades on a razor is too many?

To shave a face you really only need one good blade and the stomach to shave a persons face. To shave my beard though, I usually stick to 4 blades. I dont shave often because I have blond to reddish facial hair (and dark blond hair... yeah its weird) I just wish the hair didn't clog up on the...

    The motherboard... it is small.

You know, the more I have looked at that board, the more I have come to figure that if you lay the vid card flat some way, you really could tuck that thing into some place near a TV. Add a USB IR sensor and remote... The PSU would be a problem, but im sure there is some solution. Edit: Maybe...

Who Rules the SSD World Right Now?

The cost per GB is the main reason I haven't bought one yet. Even if it is faster, I simply haven't felt a significant reason yet. I know the reason is there, and Im currently running everything on 200GB. This confuses me since I was running out of room back home on 700GB of space though...

    Cheap Gaming Rigs

The good news about the economy being down is that you will get another year out of your PC in terms of needing to upgrade for games... We will see the next few gens a little slower due to lack of ability by the market to necessarily upgrade immediately. Game sales were up last I checked though.
