    I normally get a starting price in my head of the card I would like to purchase, and then I imagine my wife's face and how much a divorce would end up costing me, and work downwards from there ;)

    Which motherboard chipset do you like better?

    My ten cents worth: If you're going AMD - Nforce4. If you're going Intel - stick with an Intel chipset. Benchmarking apps might tell you that the Nforce4 or Radeon Xpress chipsets are marginally faster, but you will more than make up for it with the stability of an Intel chipset.

    How to clean LCD monitors?

    I use a small mixture of half-water, half-isopropyl alcohol which seems to do the job well. The trick is that you have to use as soft a cloth as possible. IMO even things like paper towels can be too abrasive.
