iDOS Emulator Returns to App Store; Simple Hack Allows Game Loading

One of the coolest apps to ever hit Apple's App Store (in my opinion) is iDOS, an emulator that allows gamers to relive some of their DOS favorites. Unfortunately, like many other emulators submitted to the App Store, Apple deemed iDOS unacceptable due to its ability to execute code. To get its...

Shogun Bros Chameleon X-1 - Three Peripherals In One

In order for any hardware to be a success in the technology world, it has to be a fresh idea that offers something that the competitors don't, but still be completely functional. Shogun Bros. look to cover all of these points with the release of its Chameleon X-1 mouse. I mean game controller. I...

Broken Monitor? Cook it in an Oven!

When I first laid my eyes on Gateway's XHD3000 30-inch display, I was in love. It offered the 2560x1600 resolution I was looking for, great specs, an awesome content upscaler, an ample soundbar and looked great to boot. Once it came to market, I got a sample in to review, and not long after, I...

Alright, second time around PC build

Got to go with Optix here. Side panel should be intake, as this is where the GPU lives, bringing cooler air in is a better bet than exhausting hot system air over the GPU and out. Remember, your base mounted PSU is sucking air out as well, so it'll be best to feed it with cool air as well with...

Alright, second time around PC build

This is why I think it's best to get air filters and live with the reduced airflow. Dust will do way more damage to a system than reduced airflow - especially with cats in the equation. The biggest killer of systems.... Smoke... but that's been discussed in other threads, lol.

    Logitech G700 Wireless Gaming Mouse

I guess I am being a little hard on the battery life, but it is a wireless mouse that can barely last a day of gaming. It's a fantastic mouse otherwise, as i said, it takes a little bit of time to appreciate, setup the profiles and such. Even now, I'm still tampering with the profile options...

Should Companies be Allowed to Harvest Our Data for their Own Gain?

In an age where a lot of our personal information is posted online, should there be boundaries? If we post our information, no matter the quantity, via services such as Facebook, should that give free reign to companies to use it as they please? Apparently, Gotham Dating Partners wholeheartedly...

IBM's Watson Beats Former Jeopardy! Champs in Practice Round

Yeah, they created the 'Jeopardy!' API to help it out, lol. $60-$100 million in hardware and R&D (guessing...) to win $4,400 in game cash, lol.

IBM's Watson Beats Former Jeopardy! Champs in Practice Round

We posted a couple of months ago about the computer that would become the first to compete on the popular quiz show Jeopardy!, and as the episode is set to air on February 14th, we're getting close. At the time of our last post, we mentioned that the computer, IBM's "Watson", was practicing with...

16% of AT&T iPhone Users Ready to Head to Verizon

A couple of weeks ago, Apple announced a brand-new iPhone 4... no, not a major overhaul, but rather one suited to work on Verizon's network. This model carries a couple of caveats, as it's CDMA-only, doesn't have a SIM card and can't utilize voice and data at the same time. But, those...

How Does Whiskey Fare After 100 Years of Antarctic Conditions?

It'll probably taste better than the 5 year old tester bottle stored in a warm cloakroom for 20 years that I found a couple months ago... that tasted of cigarette butts soaked in gasoline and moonshine... good times :p.

GameStop Considering Selling Digital Copies of Games In-store

Purchasing games online in lieu of walking into a store is preferable to some due to the convenience factor, but as a result, retailers such as GameStop are stressing out over figuring out ways to keep gamers coming to their stores. Over the years, we've seen many different techniques, including...

Wikipedia Boss Says Site is too Complicated for Most to Edit

Wikipedia, the popular online encyclopedia that "anyone can edit" turned 10-years-old this past weekend - Happy Birthday, Wikipedia! I can't believe that the website has been around so long, as I just discovered it a couple of years ago (like most people, I'm sure), but in the little time I've...
