So this family had a hole in their fence, and their two dogs got out. The Animal Care and Control find them and pick them up, and say they will only return them once the hole in the fence is fixed. You fix it, go to the Animal Care and Control to get your dogs back and hear, "I'm sorry Mr. Harlee, but your dogs have been euthanized".

geez. Those animal control guys are a little too enthusiastic about their job.
