South Park episodes for free (kind of)!

It looks like Trey Parker, Matt Stone and Co. are realizing that digital distribution is the way of the future. They've made EVERY single episode available online, although with a few caveats. Of course, the episodes have minor ads, and none of the videos can be downloaded. For many though, this won't matter. Being able to legally watch any SP episode on demand is killer.

I am a little perturbed though. Being in Canada, I am for some reason disallowed to watch anything, most likely due to licensing agreements with CTV, the only parent station allowed to air the show. So, that sucks, but I am hoping it will be resolved at some point.

Looks like a great feature for anyone in the US though (aka good way to waste time at work)

It's a real shame that I don't have the band width to watch this sort of thing online..................:(

Oh well, one of these days maybe.

Blame Canada!

Wow, that made me laugh. Surprisingly, I did not expect that one.

Seriously man! It's too bad nothing is right around the corner. Even if there were, I'm sure it would be mighty expensive. It seems no one believes in WiMAX, but I think it has potential, but so do other upcoming cell phone networks. Hopefully something will come about and give you another option soon.

Here's something else Google is into, but whatever happens, it'll take sometime to setup and get running, you can bet on that.

Google Proposes "White Space" Wireless Broadband Access to FCC

Google steps in to offer an alternative for "losers" of the FCC Auction 73

Last week the FCC's auction for the 700 MHz wireless spectrum ended with more than just a winner. The spectrum auction ended with bids totaling $19.592 billion.

Google's failure to win any of the spectrum surprised few analysts, at least compared to the company's ulterior motive of keeping the C-block of the 700 MHz spectrum open. Even though the company lost its bid on the C-block, the company successfully lobbied for open access terms, meaning its future devices will work with the spectrum even if the user must pay an access fee.

And the rest of the story.
