If you are looking for a gaming headset with Sennheiser quality, then where else to look but... Sennheiser? We are taking a hard look at their PC165 USB headset with noise cancelling microphone.

Greetings,

I have a Sony Vaio PC and I love it. I know it isn't a hard core Gamers PC but it does what I want when I want and I have upgraded it with a new Nvidia 7600 Graphics card to make it even better.

The only thing that I dislike about my PC is the sound quality of a mic. The mic pics up the very little bit of noice that the PC makes (very little since this pc is super quiet) but, it makes using the sound card for a Microphone annoying.

I don't have the option of adding a new sound card to my PC because I want to keep the PCI slot next to my graphics card empty and my TV Capture card takes up the other PCI Slot.

My question is...right now I am using a Logitech 350 USB headset. It is much better than using the sound card but, the ability to make the mic loud enough sometimes is just not there.

Does the PC165-USB headset have this problem? I have been very unhappy with my Logitech (even had to return it to Logitech after less then 3 months because of a problem and was given one that the wires is sliced but didn't feel like making another return and since it doesn't affect the sound I didn't bother). I have been looking for something better but up to this point it seems that I just keep wasting my money. I have heard how great this company is but, I have no experience with them.

I love that it has great sound quality and the microphone is crisp and clear but just wondering how it is on sound level for people hearing you. If it is ok then I am sold.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank You

I went from the Logitech 350 to the Sennheiser PC165.
The difference is like night and day.
Highly recommended.

What about the small two buttons that come near the thumb when you use the mouse? They are normally used for going back and forward in internet explorer. In many mices, these buttons account for Accidental clicks and I HATE that. Does this happen with this mouse too?
Please let me know,

Thanks in advance
