I have a Gigabyte GA-P35-S3G Motherboard with Intel(R) Core(2) Quad CPU Q6600@ 2.4Ghz. In the device manager (Processor) only one core shon as installed the othetr 3 are listed as unidentified. Please can anyone tell me hoe to correctly find and intall the remaining cores? The computer in genetral although self build is running much slower than dual core.
Any help wouls be much appreciated.
Many thanks.

I'm going to assume that you have enabled the other cores in bios, but what program are you using to check your cores?
Realtemp is one

First off, welcome to the forums :)

That's an odd issue, and one I don't quite understand either. Like Merlin said, it could be a BIOS option, but if you didn't tweak around in there to begin with, I don't understand how it would disable all of the cores. In the task manager (CTRL + ALT + DELETE, or Right-Click Taskbar and select "Task Manager"), under the "Performance" tab, does it still show one core?

You might want to see if there is a newer BIOS for that motherboard, because it might fix the issue.
