So, you are looking for a high-density thumb drive, but don't want to have the slow speed that usually coincides. OCZ recently launched 4GB versions of their extremely popular Rally2 thumb drives, and they prove to be a winner. Faster than most of it's competition, and cheaper to boot.

You can first read the review here, and then discuss it in this thread!

Just bought OCZ Rally2 4gb!

I purchased the drive from Newegg because of the reviews and benchmarks about it. However I recieved it a few days ago and it seems to work well, although I havent tried it with large files yet. I ran a benchmark using Hd tach and it says the write is 5mb/s? Is this possible? My drive also does not look like the picture. It is shaped slightly different the clear part of the endcaps are more rounded than triangular. The strap is gray with a simple web address to ocz and no disk was included in the package. The unit also appears to be made of a high quality black plastic opposed to the aluminum I read about. Althought I could be wrong. It is the Rally 2, it is indicated on the flash drive. I was wondering if this is common. I couldn't possibly have a fake could I? Like I said I bought it from Newegg. Can anyone help answer my questions? Thanks.

Naw, I'm sure it's not a fake. Are you able to take a snapshot of it though? You can upload the picture as an attachment when you make a new post.

Edit: Nevermind... we gave a few of those away at a recent lan party... so apparently OCZ just updated the model without letting anyone know. They did that with the original Rally also.

As for the slow write speed, I'd make sure you are using a hi-speed USB port. Test it out in another modern machine maybe.

I have recentlly updated my motherboard and I believe is is supporting usb 2.0 although the chipset is older model. I have run the flash drive through my pci to usb 2.0 adapter though with the same results. Maybe I am not reading it right, I will post some screenshots when I get home. I am at the university right now and will post more around 1:00 EST. Thanks for the quick response.

Sorry for the late reply. Someone decided today would be a good day to rear end me. I am sorry if these images are to big or to small I am not the best at photo editing.
