It looks like there's another SSD chipset maker out there in the wild, to add its name to the likes of Indilinx, Samsung, Intel and others. The company is "SandForce", and not too much is known about it yet, but OCZ has already taken a leap of faith and jumped on board to begin producing SSDs using its chips. The press release states support for up to S-ATA 6Gb/s and densities ranging from 50GB to 400GB. There's no mention at all regarding performance, but it shouldn't be too long before we find it out as the company plans to unveil products leading up to CES 2010.
