I am not sure I was even aware that this was going to be happening again, but I just received an e-mail from NCIX stating the fact, and they are already offering the CPUs at the new prices, a few days early.
NCIX
AMD X2 4800+ 2.5GHz - $109.99
AMD X2 5200+ 2.6GHz - $129.99
AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition 2.6GHz - $139.99
AMD X2 5600+ 2.8GHz - $149.99
AMD X2 6000+ 3.0GHz - $169.99
AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition 3.2GHz - $223.99
NewEgg
AMD X2 4800+ 2.5GHz - $102.99
AMD X2 5200+ 2.6GHz - $123.99
AMD X2 5600+ 2.8GHz - $139.99
AMD X2 6000+ 3.0GHz - $159.99
AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition 3.2GHz - $209.99
Would anyone here be interested in reading a review of the 6400+ Black Edition, and possibly also the 5000+ Black Edition (1MB Cache compared to 2MB)? With these new price drops, they look even more tempting when compared to Intel's equivalent offerings... and in fact they are a fair bit cheaper. Of course, instead of a 6400+ Black Edition, people could fork over another $60 for an Intel Quad-Core, but that's besides the point.
