NZXT Zero 2 Full-Tower

NZXT has impressed us time and time again with their unique chassis designs and attention to detail, so when we saw that they were offering a $100 full-tower with a fully customizable cooling system, we had to check it out. With a clean design and lots of available space, did NZXT create a a must-have for the value-conscious consumer?

For a "Gamer" case you don't even mention that you cannot fit a video card longer than 9 inches

You can't? I figured that with a full-tower, it could handle any-sized (current) GPU. I'll get Bill on the "case" and check it out.

I didn't need to mention this because it is untrue. There is 11" of space for a video card. Considering the HD4870 is roughly 9 1/2" you have plenty of space for an ATI card. The GTX280 is about 1" longer but considering the power connectors are located on the topside of the card and not on the rear you can still fit one in. Even the 4870X2 will fit at a whopping 10 1/2" because the power connectors are also located on the top edge of the PCB. I would like to know where you got your information that there was only 9" of space allocated.

Just a little follow up. Adding a single 120mm quiet fan to the side panel to blow on the video card dramatically dropped my load temperatures to only 62C on the GPU as well as taking another couple degrees off the CPU. I suggest anyone buying this case do the same as you will not regret it!

Question about this case...

ok, my first post, and I realize from the gate that this is an old thread but I am considering this case for my next build...looking at it specifically because of the dual 120mm fans on the back. I am going to water cool my new system and was disappointed to read that you didn't believe there was a way to mount a dual 120mm radiator internally...Is this still your opinion? and is there anyway that you could see to make a radiator fit without to much headache?

You'll be forced to do some cutting in order to fit it inside. The problem with mounting it in the rear is that the rad will interfere with the side panel and motherboard since the clearances are too tight. This chassis has an awkward configuration and quite honestly there are better units out there for the job. If you want internal radiators, you really should be looking at cases that are designed for it as this one just is not.

Nice review Bill ( even though you did it a while ago) . I have been thinking of getting a full tower case for a while now. I was actually trying to decide between the NZXT Zero 2 and this case, but i think I will go with the NZXT.
