A couple of months ago, we talked about a report that divvied up our time online and gave us a basic understanding of where it's all spent. Well, there's a new take on this same question, and this time it's from one of the most reputable sources around: Nielsen. The firm best known for measuring the success of television shows has given us a little bit of info, but a lot of insight.

I'm happy to say that I defy statistics. Search and IM are way way up, and quite often done at the same time (software info would be included with search), 3rd would be video (youtube) and 4th might be games, but i spend most of my time offline for games. Portals.... is that Forums and such? If so, that would be 4th followed by games. I don't use social networking.... at all, the last time i logged in was 8 months ago or so. Email is done as and when.... and Other... that's a bit strange, didn't think there was anything else, but hey, I don't live on the darks side of the net :p. Does that mean Other bundles together porn, Torrents, e-learning and Stock trading together? lol.

To be fair... where the heck is business/work/productivity listed? If I had to guess many of those answers fall under "other". I'm not the only person that derives some measure of their income from the internet I'm sure. *cough* Rob *cough* ;)
