Obliviot
Mobo: Asus P5Q SE
GPU: Microstar GTX280 - super OC
CPU: E8400
Mem: 4gigs of ddr2 1066 ram
Hard: 700gb 7200 32mb
Case: Antec nine hunderd
Power: 750W PSU

What do u think of this setup?
What would you upgrade in the future?
Would you have bought any other part/s?

All that cost me 1116 $, the parts are bought by the lowest local prices. How does it compare to usa or mid EU prices?

Hi Faifstarr, and welcome to the forums!

By US prices, €1,116 would be about $1,436USD, which seems quite high for what you have listed there, to be honest. That motherboard is somewhat lower-end, and the CPU is only a Dual-Core. I'm not sure why that was able to reach $1,000, much less $1,436.

One recommendation I'd make is not getting the GTX 280, but instead downgrading to a GTX 260 (with 216 shaders). It's less expensive, and chances are you won't need the extra little bit of power that the GTX 280 has. You can see more about the performance scaling in our recent GTX 285/295 article:

For computer parts in Latvia, are you unable to order from outside the state, or are you pretty-much forced to buy locally? Here is a comparison of US prices, based on NewEgg, which some components changed:

ASUS P5Q-SE: $100
GTX 260/216: $250
Intel Q9400: $230
4GB DDR2: $65
1TB Hard Drive: $105
Antec Nine Hundred: $160
PCP&C PSU 610W: $100

That would bring the total to $1,010USD (€784.41). I realize you can't order from NewEgg, but it shows what kind of pricing we get over here. That computer is a bit better than the parts configuration you chose, but costs less. Are computer component prices over there generally that inflated?

If anything in your configuration I would change, I would upgrade the CPU to a Quad-Core and downgrade the GPU to a GTX 260 (just make sure it has 216 cores/shaders). As for storage, just get whatever you need.
