Mortality

I was awoken tonight by a call from a high school friend letting me know that a mutual friend of ours passed away Friday. This kinda has me f'ed up ATM so please bear with me. We were pretty close, we both lost our mothers within a few days of each other and we'd been friends since '83. I was friends with her ex-husband, went to HS with him, was a room-mate with them when they were living together and house-sat for them on occasion after they were married so that their animals were taken care of.

Man, I don't ever have the right words to say when something like this happens. Sorry to hear this has happened man, my thoughts are with you and Kelly's family.

Thanks guys. Funny thing is that had it not been for my mom coming down ill when she did I'd have likely moved back to CA and have been Kelly's room-mate.

Any loss, whether expected or sudden, is a loss that is difficult to fathom. I have not lost a friend yet, but I have buried many, many of my family.
