The One, The Only...
Back when Techgage started i shamelessly plugged it... Many times as a matter of fact. I do not feel bad about it either ;-p

Anyhow...

OCRemix is a great site IMO and regardless of your likes or dislikes of the music being made there I was requested in their news letter to plug their latest album.

Greetings, madstork91.

Today, OverClocked ReMix is proud to announce the release of its latest album, Final Fantasy VII: Voices of the Lifestream. You can read all about this album and download it in its entirety for free at http://ff7.ocremix.org.

We're emailing to inform you of this album's availability because we think you'll be interested - it's some of the best work yet from many prominent OC ReMix artists - but also because we need your assistance.

We're trying to promote this album on a larger scale than previous releases, and need all the help we can get to make sure people know about this great, free music.

This is where you come in!

Don't worry, we're not asking for money or even for anything that'll take up that much of your time. We're asking you to do one or more of the following things, TODAY:

1. Digg the FF7:VotL story at http://digg.com/music/Final_Fantasy_VII_Voices_of_the_Lifestream

2. Download the FF7:VotL torrent at http://bt.ocremix.org/files/Final_Fantasy_VII_-_Voices_of_the_Lifestream.torrent and help seed it.

3. Submit the news to the website/blog/news source of your choice.

4. If you run a website or blog yourself, no matter how small, post about the album release with a link to the album site (http://ff7.ocremix.org).

5. Tell at least one other person you think might be interested in the album about it, and give them the link.

6. Anything else (legal!!) you can think of to help promote this album and get the word out.

A lot of people write us asking about donating or what they can do to help us out - this is a great chance to show your appreciation in a way that shouldn't take up too much of your time and will help spread the word about what we think is a really exciting and historic album release.

We appreciate any and all help you can provide to OverClocked ReMix in terms of achieving this goal - let's show the world what video game music can be, and what our community is capable of!

Thanks,

David W. Lloyd (djpretzel)

I personally like their site. If any of you ever stopped by the Techgage IRC then you know anything being shown by the music plug-in with the OC tags was done so by me :)

If you never checked OCR out... try em. If you don't really care and you think it is lame that they send this out in an email... Respond to the thread. Either way I win. HAH!

-the more/now you: know

I will check this out in a few days. I am always doubtful about game-related music, but that song you linked me to a few weeks ago... I listened to about 10 times that night. So, I might give this new stuff a chance as well.

The One, The Only...
I will admit that this is not my fav collection of oc music. But it is still fun to play ffxi to ;-p

It would take me weeks to narrow the number of songs of theirs i have down to a 100 song playlist of just good music... :-/

To celebrate the 10th anniversary of Final Fantasy VII, Suntory and Square Enix have collaborated to re-create “Potion,” an item that appears in the ever popular RPG. It replicates the item in every detail and just like in the game, it is intended for recovery use, blending dolomite, royal jelly and vitamin B into the drink. It comes with a book that can only be acquired with the drink. The item is limited to 77,777 units.
