Killing people for their fat?!

There are a lot of weird, and disgusting stories out there, but every so often, one comes along that just defies what I thought I knew about the human race. It seems that some ridiculous gang in Peru have been going around killing people for, get this... their fat. Apparently, human fat is ideal for cosmetics, and it's worth up to $60,000 per gallon (how on earth does it have a value?). Because of this, renegades have been killing innocent people, decapitating them, and hanging them out to dry while their fat drips into a bucket below. Ugh.

When I made this post, it was the first I've ever heard of using human fat for cosmetic purposes. Last night, I watched Fight Club for the first time (Blu-ray came out last week), and in it, the topic of using human fat to make soap is brought up. I had a total :-| look on my face... bizarre coincidence.

In the movie, people aren't killed for it... it's just fat extracted from certain operations.

Tell me about it. But in case this ever becomes a problem in Canada, I'm going to begin working towards that six pack...

You posted this right after Thanksgiving? Yuck... shouldn't surprise anyone the lengths a gang will go to in order to make money though, even something as absurd as this.

Congrats on losing that weight Doomsday! Keep at it! :)

Good stuff man! I bet it gets easier to work out when you actually see major gains like that, huh? Seriously, 37lbs is no small feat... that's awesome.

thank u! :D

when i started i was like, 'i cant lose that much weight', i was doing internship at an Insurance company's IT department. Its Head was a lady and very friendly. She really kept pushing me to start and helped me workout a regimen plan for what to eat and what not! really weird for a Head Of Department to help out an intern but, she gave me the motivation i needed to start! and after a month i saw my weight drop from 108 to 102... it gave me a real moral boost and i wanted to keep going!

the thing thats really awesome! i still ate KFC, McDonalds and Chicken Paratha Rolls, Pizzas, ice creams!! and my workouts were not That grueling! though i only ate the junk food once or twice a week on weekends, the rest of days were strict 5 to 6 small meals..... hehee! :)
