I know I'm sure all of you are probably tired of hearing me talk about getting a new mobo, or this and that and whatnot. However, I am here to announce, that I stepped into the realm of hardcore computer geekdom by just ordering a Dfi Lanparty Ultra-D, a Sapphire Ati x1900xtx, along with a Swiftech H20 Apex Ultra water cooling kit.

I'm sure that I'm probably going overboard with this, cause I have no idea what I'm doing.

I will also be upgrading my processor once the new Conroe comes out, which i believe is fairly soon. That way AMD will most likely drop their prices, and I can take advantage of it.

But knowing me, I'm gonna need the help of God, Allah, Buddha, the Spaghetti monster, Chuck Norris, and maybe Optimus Prime, to get everything working normally.

Spaghetti monster?

Jou n00b everyone knows its the cookie monster and pizza the hut (see spaceballs: the movie) that grant you Uber 1337 powers.

You know me, I always come to you guys with my pc problems. Wether it be my pc not booting, or if I'm dl porno at an unusually slow rate, I feel comforted knowing that you all are here to back me up.

I did some more research, and realized my PSU (Antec Smart Power 500w) is decent, however it is not recommended if I want to go Dual core with SLI/Crossfire.

Once I go dual core cpu (in about a month), I guess I'll have to invest in a better power supply as well if mine can't handle it.

That PSU you have there should be more than enough for your one card. However, with the Ultra-D, you will not ever be able to go crossfire. The SLI mod for that board is redicuously easy but you wont be able to do SLI with that x1900xtx. Before you even think about jumping to SLI or CrossFire though, enjoy your PC that you are building and get to know it. You may find out that it does all that you will ever ask it to do and if that should be the case, stick with it. Should you ever sell that x1900xtx, you can still go SLI with the mobo mod done and then you will certainly want to get a more robust PSU, but not untill then.
