Gearbox Should Create Another Duke Nukem Game

With a fifth grader being younger than its development cycle, Duke Nukem Forever didn't hold much chance to live up to its hype. The fact that the game has exchanged multiple hands and game engines sure doesn't help, either. In the end, Duke Nukem Forever launched to mostly horrible reception. While I didn't find it to be nearly as bad as others, it did leave a lot to be desired considering how epic Duke Nukem 3D was.

100%. They absolutely should do this. It seems that with the LOOOOONG development cycle (how many generations of hardware came and went?) and the unrealistic hype, this one didn't stand a chance.

Create a new Duke from the first floor. Do it right and immortality is yours. Riding a name will hardly ever guarantee success. Take Doom 3 for example. I jizzed in my pants so much playing it at Wal Mart growing up that they had to close the isle for an hour. Doom 3 never had a chance to live up to the personal hype I built up on my own. Dukes hype was in the stratosphere.
