Flash Earth

We've all become fans of Google Earth, but here is a very cool website I stumbled on the other day:

http://www.flashearth.com/

Essentially, it allows you to view the Earth as you would with any other map site. The coolest thing is though, is that you can switch between services on the fly. If you are unhappy with the area you are looking at because of the low quality, you can switch to another service and see if they offer a better image. It's all done without moving you an inch off your coordinates.

Just a warning though... the images are not generally as good as the ones found in Google Earth. It's still a cool site to play around with though.

Flash Earth, no thanks, I will pass. Not sure why, but I tried it and I simply don't like it. I am spoiled, I guess, with Google Earth.

By the way, has anybody tried Google Mars? I did, but it still needs a little more work. Google Moon is next, that might be interesting? In the mean time, I just be happy if they would only develop, oh, I don't know, but let's say: 'Google-Find-Your-Pants-In-The-Morning.' Now that, at my age, I could use!
