eVGA has released numerous motherboards in the past two years, but we are going to take a look at their most recent top offering, the nForce 680i SLI. Coming from a company who knows how to cater to enthusiasts, will the board leave us impressed like their graphics cards do?

You can read the full review here and discuss it here.

At least eVGA released a revision of this mobo that helped resolve the quad-core O/C issues, something that Asus hasn't (and most likely won't) for the Striker Extreme, where you could send eVGA your original mobo and they would send you the new one for free!

All in all, eVGA has Asus beat hands down, especially with customer service and tech support.

eVGA has always impressed me with their customer support. I have never dealt with Asus but I have many time with eVGA and all in all, they clearly care about their customers.

I have never dealt with either companies customer service, but I have continually heard bad things about ASUS. Primarily the fact that they are hard to "get through to", and difficult to see quick action.

eVGA has a good thing going I think, I haven't heard many complaints about them.

This board runs HOT

Very good board, I found it to be rock solid so far. However the bridge temp
on this board is FAR FAR too high for no reason what-so-ever. And depending
on which cooler you use on your CPU (9700NT in my situation) the supplied
cooler for the bridge is going to blue its warm air INTO your cooler and make
it less efficient.

Also to note, when running a single 8800GTS card, the MCP temp was around
45 - 50 , once I dropped in my second card for SLI, the MCP temp rose up
about 15 degrees.. :S wth ?

I was able to hit 400FSB with my X6800 and some minor voltage tweaks
coupled with OCZ XTC 8500 SLI memory.
