Everything's Amazing, Nobody's Happy

Things have truely advanced for sure.
I remember just poping pop corn in a pot, on the stove top and amazed my niece, she thought you could only do that in the micro wave. Silly Wabbit

Plenty of good points! :D

I'd disagree about waiting 40 minutes out on the runway though... remember that means no food, no drinks, no cell phones, no internet, and one very hot, stuffy plane since the AC works poorly when on the ground. If you're lucky the flight attendants will alow the passengers to use their electronics anyway, but not always.

I can also agree on the 40 minutes on the runway. I haven't noticed a huge problem there with me in the past though, and I've had to sit in a fair amount of runways. I find it's worse when you land and have to wait a while, rather than waiting a while before you take off.

I dunno... it might be worse in the sense you already finished the flight and can't wait to get off the plane, certainly. But the plane doesn't have time to heat up... before take off the air circulation sucks so not only is it hot, but the people on the plane smell, kids are screaming, and you have no idea how long it'll take while you sit on some adjacent corner of the runway as other planes bypass you. At least you KNOW the plane that is sitting in your assigned airport terminal is behind schedule and rushing to depart quickly.

I've had plenty of flights where the captain said we had a 10 or 15 minute delay but it turned into a 20-45 minute delay. If they THINK they are going to take off, then they won't serve anything or allow people to use electronics. It just plain sucks!
