Corsair H70 Self-Contained Liquid CPU Cooler

When Corsair released its H50 CPU cooler last year, it impressed all of the critics - including us. So much so, that we even have multiple units in our lab for our test beds. It was with great interest when the H70 was released, then, as it improves on the previous design in numerous ways. But is it enough to compete with current competition?

i hope it fits in my chassis though....

It is pretty flexible on where to mount it so you SHOULD be able to fit it in there. Even if you have to get creative, I am sure you'll get the job done. Post up some pictures when you get ready to install if you're looking for tips.

Good review. I was happy to see that you included the CoolIT numbers as those two kits appear to be very similar.

Good review. I was happy to see that you included the CoolIT numbers as those two kits appear to be very similar.

The CoolIT model we included is the "older" ECO design that's more akin to the Corsair H50, so it's kind of unfair to compare the two directly (we did for interest's sake, of course). We have a CoolIT Vantage A.L.C. en route that's more of a direct competitor to the H70, since it's also a push/pull design. It also has the advantage of having more control over things with an included module, but it's likely that its also to cost a little more than the H70.

I'm curious to see how it's going to compare to Corsair's H70 here, so hopefully we receive it soon.

in the next test can you run the rad the correct way up, without the air gap next to the intake pipe. like to see what the temp is without air in the fluid.
