I haven't heard anything that great about the movie either... surprised it scored so high at Rotten Tomatoes.

What exactly did everyone not like about Cloverfield? It seems that the majority of people's opinions are that they either liked it or they didn't like it.

I had pretty high expectations considering the amount of neat viral marketing as well as the buzz going around and when I wen to see it, I liked it.

I guess you have to like this type of movie to appreciate the overall theme and point of Cloverfield and I so can't wait for a sequel with more people dying and destruction all around :D

not my cup of tea. And i honestly hated it months before it even came out.

I dont have a reason other than the fact that it got TOOO much hype, for no reason.

After that, they didnt deliver to most of the ppl who hyped it.

That's the problem with hype. It tends to build up to something completely worthless. Take Snakes On a Plane! for example. That had hype for months, and I haven't met anyone that enjoyed that movie.

Aye... but that deals with "the rules of the internet"

"16. If you fail in epic proportions it may just become a winning failure."

the movie was a fail form the start. And samuel jackson knew it. That is why he did it. To fail so hard he won.
