CES 2010

Once again, I'll be heading down to Las Vegas to attend CES, and I can't help but be excited, because I feel like there should be a <em>lot</em> to see this year. I have more meetings scheduled than any other year, so I'm not quite sure at this point just how much content I'll be pushing out during the show, but I'll definitely do my best

What are you guys looking forward to seeing from CES 2010? Is there anything I should be on the lookout for? Aside from free booze? I tend to be a magnet when it comes to that stuff. Anyone interested in me keeping a "diary" like I did for Computex?

well ... ok ... I will drink at least 1 toast you every evening ... if that makes you feel good about not drinking alone. HA! I know this is *not* a sport compact car show ... but females?? Are there any? Well, at least looking legal!

Hexa-core processors ... bench, clock, how hot, when? Sample!!! Demand samples.
What is next? When! What are the main development issues? Getting power to the chip & amperage requirements?
Timelines from everyone? Timeline for the timeline?? I get a little pushy with regard to that.

Do we still care about AMD? AND why?
Anything GPGPU. Is NVIDIA still the only number cruncher in town?
USB 3 & SATA 6 GB thingys ... how fast do the peddlers really think they are?

Apple tablets & new innovative stuff?

Nvidia Geforce fermi models (gf100)

I've seen a huge list of Xeon-branded Gulftown models... but only one Core i7/Core i9 Gulftown model. I'd really love to know if Intel will be nice and offer us poor folk any Gulftowns cheaper than the $999 980XE Or if that will only happen in 8 months from now as I would bet will be the case.

Then again, that EVGA super-board fits only Xeons, so maybe.... hmm...

I can't wait to see Fermi finally arrive. If EVGA continues their current Folding@home promotion I could very well afford to buy the flagship part for a nice change of pace, so models/pricing details would be great to know too!
