    Duke Nukem Forever Review

Is the demo available to anyone now? (Haven't got the game yet). Making it available only to certain people seems a tad ridiculous. Isn't letting anyone try your game the point of a demo? I wonder if the game wouldn't have been better received had it been released in 2004, or even all the way...

Initial Reviews Put Duke Nukem Forever as a 'Mediocre' Game

    I would, but I don't have a credit card. :(

Initial Reviews Put Duke Nukem Forever as a 'Mediocre' Game

There's no Game Stop/EB games on the west side. I'm sure they'd have it. But I tried Gamezilla and Zellers. I might try Gamestop tomorrow.

Initial Reviews Put Duke Nukem Forever as a 'Mediocre' Game

Damn, I don't really want to spend $50 bucks + taxes on crap, Regardless, I tried to get it today, but every place I went only had the console version, (I live on the west side of Saint John).

Initial Reviews Put Duke Nukem Forever as a 'Mediocre' Game

Yeah, it seems to me most of them never liked the first game in the first place.

Is Windows 8 Going to Leave Developers Scrambling?

Interesting. They better do their homework this time and avoid another huge failure. Maybe they'll do it once too often and disappear ... Ok, no, I was in la-la land for a sec. I read somewhere that someone spilled the beans about research into 128-bit compatibility in Windows 8.

Duke Nukem Forever Trailer and Demo Now Available

It's par for the course. As far as I can tell, Rolling Stone magazine often gets people that hate music to ... you know, review music. PC Gamer gave it a good review. And I'm much more inclined to trust PC Gamer. http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/06/10/duke-nukem-forever-review/

    Future concept cars

Hey, that's the car that Homer ruined his brother with! What did he call it? And that boat-car VW looks pretty cool.

Duke Nukem Forever Trailer and Demo Now Available

I didn't realize that was for the XBox. Their review of the PC version isn't done yet, but here's a preliminary treatment: http://pc.ign.com/articles/117/1175194p1.html. None of these reviewers seem to have a sense of humour.

Duke Nukem Forever Trailer and Demo Now Available

IGN.com gave Duke a pretty bad review. http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/117/1175639p1.html. Can't say I didn't see it coming.

I've modded my 3850 agp bios

I'll check this out. The 5850 in my laptop is always very hot. Sometimes during long gaming sessions, the keys actually get so hot I can't keep my fingers on them. I wonder if I might be able to do something to help with this.

Microsoft Shows Off Windows 8 at D9 Conference

I think software developers in general suffer from this problem. Look at GNOME and KDE ... same problem. With that said, I'll admit I am interested in touch displays. They are interesting, although won't gamers always need a keyboard and mouse/gamepad?

Gamepads for Racing Games = No-Brainer (So I've Learned)

I haven't used a gamepad on my PC for ages! I don't have an XBox either. It can definitely help with certain games, though.

I should try it out then. I LOVE racing games! How does it compare to the Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit remake?

The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings Review

The Xbox 360 uses a modified version of DirectX9, I believe. I have been researching cross-platform development. I found some informationn on Cell processor programming (Playstation) and an older book on developing for PSN, Xbox, and Gamecube. There is a lot of stuff out there on XNA, but I do...
