North Sea Jazz 2010 in Rotterdam, Holland

I was in Nova Scotia spending time with my immigrated family. They've got a dairy farm up there. The weather has been really nice. Above 30 degree days with tremendous high humidity though lol. But it was great. We went river rafting, did the Cabot Trail, went to Prince Edward Island and to...

Adjusting affinity effectively improves gaming performance

Have you ever wondered how you can force affinity to multiple cores while gaming? Well here's the answer. I discovered that for a lot of my games (I have a dual core machine) only Core0 is used when gaming. With CPU intensive games like for instance Need for Speed Shift the Core0 was being used...

Sidebar gadget that I like to use

I see what you mean. I never used the Sidebar in Vista. It's crazy to sacrifice about 100 megs of RAM or even more for it. Not to mention in Vista it spoils the 3d performance as well. In Windows 7 the sidebar is kinda deactivated if you are gaming.

Sidebar gadget that I like to use

Well the Coretemp gadget needs Coretemp.exe to be running in the background. That program has the ability to log the temperatures yes. But you can't turn that setting on in the gadget. You have to open Coretemp itself to play with these settings. The gadget just shows the actual temps, Mhz, CPU...

Sidebar gadget that I like to use

This makes good sense if you are benching yes! You want as much resources to be disabled in that case. Yet for normal daily use the new sidebar in Windows 7 is eating ALOT less memory and resources. For me it barely eats 30 megs. It used to eat around 100 megs or more in Windows Vista. Also in...

Sidebar gadget that I like to use

Hello everyone. As a Windows 7 user I started using the Windows sidebar. It's nice that in Windows 7 the sidebar doesn't eat that much memory. For all my gadgets installed it only eats about 30 megs. In Vista it would eat up to 100 megs. Also when running in 3d mode the sidebar is kinda...

    Quick Impressions of openSUSE 11.3

I especially like the installing software control panel in SUSE. You can easily search and download applications and install them automatically. This makes Linux much more easy to use for the normal end user.

    Quick Impressions of openSUSE 11.3

I just found this pretty GUI (E17 desktop). I'm not sure you are able to install it in SUSE. I've always found SUSE a very complete Linux package. It's easy to use as well. Okay have a look at the screenshot that I found :) http://img69.imageshack.us/img69/4176/pantallazomp4.png It's...

North Sea Jazz 2010 in Rotterdam, Holland

Yes I agree it's just a few tracks. Alot of those tracks have been top of the class. I don't like any of Tiësto latest works either. It sounds too commercial. I have seen in him in Amsterdam, the performance was so not like Tiësto to me, just not right lol.. in my opinion..

Using different overclocking settings with CrystalCPUID

Well thank you! I see I accidentally put it in the wrong section though haha! Ehhh.. yep! It is quite prehistoric nowadays LOL! I did like trying 3dmark03 and 05 too. Any later 3dmark benchmarks I wasn't really bothered about. I try to enjoy some daily oc'ed settings nowadays. My PC isn't that...
