NZXT 'Back to School' Contest

The first product from NZXT we ever reviewed was its Lexa mid-tower chassis, back in the spring of 2006. At that time, the company focused on only chassis and power supplies, but it has since expanded into cooling, modding accessories and even gaming mice.

I have known NZXT's lead designer Johnny Hou for quite some time, and I've come to describe him as someone who has creativity bursting out the seams. In the earlier days, I knew that the company wouldn't settle at only chassis and power supply products, and it hasn't. Most recently, it introduced its first-ever CPU cooler, the HAVIK 140. So where to next?

To help usher in the upcoming school year, it'd be a great time to exercise our own creativity and come up with some interesting product ideas for NZXT. A USB-powered fan that can keep you cool while at your desk? An acrylic gaming chassis? A liquid-cooled CPU cooler? An Avatar gaming keyboard?

Suggestions can either be serious or fun. Creativity has no bounds!

Post all product ideas in this thread to be entered into the contest.

That's a good looking grand prize bundle. I've been lucky enough to tinker with four of the products listed and each one was fun. Whoever wins that should be mighty happy.

How about a backlit USB Gaming keyboard with the ability to switch off the lighting. Back lighting is nice but not when you're trying to sleep and you have this bright red glow in your room.

A cpu air-cooler, ram-cooler combo...adjustable to accomodate ram with heat sinks. Why sacrifice a ram slot for a larger cpu cooler when you can have a way to efficiently and effectively cool the whole darn area and still be able to put in all the memory sticks you want? Don't ask me how you can configure that, though, but I'm sure the creative folks at NZXT could find a way.

I'm from Europe, so I can't compete. But regardless I don't want to miss this opportunity. I'm a big fan of this company products. I always am when someone gives so much importance to both form and function, as NZXT does. Unfortunately not a customer yet, since the opportunity never presented itself. It's not easy to find their products in Portugal.

So here it is:
NZXT keyboards. Definitely. They are still missing that market. But I'd like also for NZXT to climb onto the controller market. Especially arcade sticks (for anyone not sure what I mean see http://www.xgaming.com/ as an example). but also other types of joysticks and controllers (for fighting, action, and simulation games)

I'm in with keyboards too. With or without backlighting, there's a definitely a place for well-made keyboards.

Marfig - thanks for the info on gaming sticks. They look very rugged.

I have always liked the feel of NZXT mice, but they never fit my hand right, or offer the features I really care about: simple, well placed buttons.

The only mouse I like in that category is the original Logitech MXRevolution. The new one's thumb button placement is atrocious.

When I was searching for mice the other day at a store, I simply could not find a mouse to fit my hand. Period. And the only one to come close was awkward to hold, and the extra buttons were in painful positions to actually use them. All of this, and the mouse was severely over prices.

Make me a mouse. Make me a mouse that has enough buttons. (7-9 not including the side scroll on the wheel) Make me a mouse big enough to fit a hand with a large size palm (re: paw) and average sized fingers.

GPU Cooler! I'm looking for an aftermarket cooler for my GTX 570 and I can only find 2 or 3 that might fit and non of them are very good looking. We need you NZXT!

1.How about temp sensor inside the case and make the fan led change color depending on the temperature (or other variant like: temperature led on the front I/O or thermochromic paint inside the case)

2.Put the front I/O and drive bays at the left of the case (right column of the side panel), and then load the front with fans. Since most people have their pc at their right, this can be a good exotic thing to try.

I'm surprised there aren't more cases with built-in fan/light control. Possibly with a temperature monitor?
