Default AMD Radeon HD 6790 1GB Review

In recent months, we've seen AMD and NVIDIA go back and forth with releases that are designed to one-up the other at the respective price-point, and with AMD's Radeon HD 6790, it doesn't look like this game will end anytime soon. Set to compete against the GeForce GTX 550 Ti, the HD 6790 launches with the same MSRP of $149.

Read through our full look at AMD's latest mid-range card and then discuss it here!

It certainly looks like there was a surplus of 6870s kicking around. Disable 300 processors, slap a number on it and off you go!

Hmm.... Guess I dont need to get new GPUs then. My 275s, in SLi (this new driver SUCKS and now the game has MASSIVE flickering) can play it in DX9 maxed out everything (or as far as things will go) at 8xAA and hit 120FPS not bad for $220 worth of cards.
