Making the decision to upgrade to an SSD isn't difficult, but finding the "perfect" SSD is a different story thanks to the sheer amount of choice out there; sometimes even from the same vendor! Fortunately, OCZ's Vertex Turbo delivers a great blend of performance and GB per dollar, making it well worth consideration.
You can read Robert's thorough look at OCZ's Vertex Turbo here and discuss it here!

Arg! Still out of reach as far as $/GB although I did perk up when I saw the chips allowed for overclocking. I wonder how long it will be before someone writes the code for an app and you see people trying to overvolt them as well?

Hmm, I wonder who could've done that...
![]() Optix, the controller is not overclockable by the end-user, unless you are proficient at creating your own custom firmware to flash to it and willing to void the warranty at risk of bricking the drive. It doesn't really help the performance enough to make it worthwhile... and as far as the integrity of your data it's definitely not advisable!
