NVISION 08: Modded PCs

Where there are gamers, there are sure to be modded PCs, and a quick trip around the LAN floor at NVISION sure delivered the goods. In this quick article, you'll see some incredible mods from passionate enthusiasts. I'm willing to bet a house could be built quicker than some of these.

Some very, *very* sweet builds you have pictured there....
And most of them I have followed with extreme interest!

Any ideas on who won the mod contest?

Yes, I built it in 2007 . . .8800 GTS, Q6600 B3 revision . . .hardware is quite old. I also built the large cross there that houses two sets of TRI-SLI 280s . . .

WHAT?!? You built that? It's a masterpiece!! I was kinda joking about the hardware, cause something that amazing doesn't need cutting edge technology!! Man, I can't wait to see if your next build!!!

Sadly, I have no idea who won most of anything. I'm sure you'd be able to find out at this point than I would though. Kind of surprised that they haven't made mention of it on their site.

They haven't posted the winners because they KNOW they are going to get spanked...

CPU Mag totally sold out. Wait till you see who they picked over Bods galactica mod and the number 2...

so sad.

While I cannot say anything about the first place rig as I did not even pay any real attention to it . . .I can say ALL the other entrants where extremely well done. I am kinda of glad I did not enter as I would have been spanked.

Something is wrong there. I'm not a modder in any sense, but that first-place mod just isn't 'pro' quality... it looks like something even I could throw together in a weekend. That's all I can say, really.

Without a doubt. I mean, I could slap clear siding on my case (it already has a honeycomb screen on the side) and a few halogen lights and it would look cleaner that that

Even the 2nd and 3rd places were way cleaner!
