I just have to jump in here, and note that I've had horrible experiences with the 4H. I've owned two, and both have been thrown in the trash for the exact same reason.
After a while, the sound will cut in and out, and I believe it to be due to poor wiring, because if you hold it a certain way with your hand, it sometimes improves the situation. The headphones have decent sound quality, but since I've had two pairs die the same way, I'd highly recommend staying away from these. Unless of course, you want to use it for a week only.

My 5H v2 headphones are starting to do the half work half don't thing too. It's shitty wiring at the jack itself. A little wiggling and it works again. I am in the market for a pair of Ultrasones now I think since these Steel Series headphones are taking a crap on me... that and when I actually do get a few moment to game, I would like to be able to hear the action.

Yeah exactly. I've only been using the 4H's for the PSP (since it's kind of a pain to unhook the good headphones from the PC). I'm somewhat in the market for one or two pairs of headsets, but I'm not even sure what's good anymore, or what will last more than a few weeks. This latest 4H pair was bought in November, so I don't consider five months to be that impressive.

Hey Rob, I can send you the Cyborg headeset I've got here. My experience thus far has been fantastic, and come on, it's a $75 set of 5.1 surrond-sound headphones - it must be great, right?
[/sarcasm] It even lights up red on one cup and green on the other. Seriously. |
